I love black because it affirms, designs, and styles. A woman in a black dress is a pencil stroke. - Yves Saint Laurent

A young man whooshes by on his motorbike at about half the speed of sound ....while an older guy....walking slowly by the road at a snail's pace with his camera ....instinctively clicks the moment . We were moving at very different speeds ....but each of us had found a way to enjoy the freshness and mist of a beautiful summer morning at our own pace ...and in a way that made us happiest .. As the saying goes " different strokes for different folks " .........
Thanks for the visit :-)
It was a lovely day so I went for a walk with my camera round my golf course.
this is a view looking back up the 2nd hole, which is rated the hardest on the course.
I was getting some really stange looks from fellow members who thought it was odd that I didn't have my clubs.
Nature Derived Abstract
This composite composition highlights brushed pastel strokes that are colorful and energetic yet still has an appealing chalky softness. Let your eyes wander through the textures within the lively movement that was originally offered by nature.
This is one of the times I wish we could choose a lighter background.

Revelation 13:3 “And I saw one of his heads as though it had been smitten unto death; and his death-stroke was healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast.”
The only thing that calms me down some days is doing art. I used to do more painting but it's harder with cats. Recently, I tried out some acrylic pens my mom got for me for Christmas and that is a nice medium to draw/paint with. This photo was found remnants of fliers that made me think of brush strokes. Maybe everything is completely meaningless during this time of constant political upheaval and no checks and balances. I don't know. I do know that art is a continued solace, though, and I hope that the people of Venezuela are as safe as they can be at this time. Maduro wasn't a good leader but the idea of the US looking after any country (We can't even look after our own in terms of basic needs) seems much worse.

I was inspired by the Pantone's color of the year for 2020 (classic blue) but intentionally went down to find the deepest blue with contrast to complementary yellow. My beloved model and second beloved hairdryer helper arrange this composition as you can see in the making of...

Challenge # 189 ~ The Award Tree
A very Happy New Year 2020 to you all; here's to another year of Flickr creativity! Many thanks for all your comments and awards throughout the past year - they are very much appreciated!
This one reminds me of a painting, with all the brush strokes of colors creating the sunset.
Hoping everyone is warm, safe and healthy in this neat week ahead. Looking forward to see your pictures.
I've chosen two photos today: on the first one you can see Merlin posing perfectly for the photographer and on the second, a few seconds later, Merlin asking to be stroked.
Happy Caturday to all my Flickr's friends!

A newly hatched Green tutle takes its first strokes in the crystal clear waters around Lankayan Island, off the coast of Borneo. Perhaps it will be one of the lucky ones that makes it from a mere 5cm to a full 5 foot? Helped on its way due to the dedication of the volunteers running the turtle hatchery.
DE6400-6480 is performing shunting operations in the Gdynia harbour. Normally, the locomotives here are on the other side of the trains, pushing the wagons. This time however, "Jaro" was pulling the train this way. :)
