It's always fun to play with a little motion blur with fall foiliage. To do this, I used a tripod and set a shutter speed of 0.5sec. I moved the camera vertically while pressing the shutter button. This kind of gives the impression of brush strokes.

UP 8733 leads an eastbound crude oil train on the former DRG&W Dotsero Cutoff, which came by surprise at the perfect time for a nice chase back towards home base.
Different strokes for different folks, everyone has their own outlook on life and liking the colours.
Ok..so I posted this just to tell a story.
So The Strokes were to perform a free show for fans as part of SXSW festivies but little did they know that the band would have the park at "capacity" and well beyond. Now I've seen people jumping fences at ACL,SXSW and many other places. But at a free show?Really? And I guess people tearing down fences at more than one spot obviously convinced officials(and APD) to simply step aside. It was an interesting scene.Today's score:the kids:1,the authorities:0.Kinda made me smile.

A very rare sight - a sign at a former petrol/ gas station, promoting "Two Stroke Service". Having owned at least one two stroke motorcycle continuously for 46 years, I can't recall ever having seen a sign like this previously. I assume that it dates back to a time when the two stroke oil was mixed in the petrol tank. When I had my BSA Bantam I had to use that method but it meant I had to carry a bottle of oil round with me all the time. Presumably a service station offering this, removed the need to do this. Most people think of two stroke motorcycles but there have been a few cars, too. Saab, Wartburg etc (I can’t think of any others but there must be some).
More recently manufactured bikes with two stroke engines have a separate oil tank and a pump mixes the oil with the fuel - but saying that, there aren't too many mainstream large capacity two stroke bikes being made now because the general idea is that they are “dirty/‘orrible/noisy/smelly/unreliable” (delete or tick/check as appropriate) things.
