I love black because it affirms, designs, and styles. A woman in a black dress is a pencil stroke. - Yves Saint Laurent

Having fun In the forest above the dam in Argaka.

Everyone has a different stroke so a unique brush is needed.

By itself, fast flowing water isn't very interesting but when you go a little crazy with the sliders, the brush stokes come out along with colors, and reflections. Happy Sliders Sunday!

A young man whooshes by on his motorbike at about half the speed of sound ....while an older guy....walking slowly by the road at a snail's pace with his camera ....instinctively clicks the moment . We were moving at very different speeds ....but each of us had found a way to enjoy the freshness and mist of a beautiful summer morning at our own pace ...and in a way that made us happiest .. As the saying goes " different strokes for different folks " .........

Thanks for the visit :-)

Indian farmers protest

It was a lovely day so I went for a walk with my camera round my golf course.

this is a view looking back up the 2nd hole, which is rated the hardest on the course.

I was getting some really stange looks from fellow members who thought it was odd that I didn't have my clubs.

In an uncharacteristic stroke of better-than-average luck, I finally catch an eastbound Rock & Rail train at CP RG130 Swallows on UP's (ex-D&RGW) Tennessee Pass subdivision, after many years of infrequent trips to West Pueblo. And, I got the new-paint leader I've only ever seen parked behind the yard "office" in Portland. Guess I've used up all my karma for 2023.

Kristine - The Deepest Blue

I was inspired by the Pantone's color of the year for 2020 (classic blue) but intentionally went down to find the deepest blue with contrast to complementary yellow. My beloved model and second beloved hairdryer helper arrange this composition as you can see in the making of...

Enjoy the colorful week! :)

More weather, more crashing waves. The uncontrollable violence that nature can inflict is sometimes impressive. In this case, the energy transferred by the water pulverizing the shoreline rocks, makes one step back in awe.

This is also why I chose a longer view. But, when attempting to capture this, the balance was off. So, that lone bird helps the structure of the image, and completes the weighting of the shot. A complete and total stroke of luck.

The midnight hour many would say is the reboot of life, what was a bad day is now the hope of a new day, each day is a celebration of a new hopes to make the world a better place by starting with me.

A newly hatched Green tutle takes its first strokes in the crystal clear waters around Lankayan Island, off the coast of Borneo. Perhaps it will be one of the lucky ones that makes it from a mere 5cm to a full 5 foot? Helped on its way due to the dedication of the volunteers running the turtle hatchery.

The shadows of the waterbugs on the stream bed were what caught my eye first. Then it was the whole shadow and light composition, golden detail versus expressionist strokes of green reflection. Taken at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Connecticut. This won't look like much on a small screen ie., a phone or small tablet. The larger the better. Press 'L' for a better look at the detail.
