I had a stroke April 26, 2022. My right side wouldn’t move. What's worse I had aphasia. I lost most of my language skills.

I came home from the rehab hospital June 1. I still couldn't walk nor talk properly. Home therapists worked with me then.

I almost can walk, through wobbly. I keep leaving my walker behind me. I write slowly. I can read. I can understand what others say to me. Others don't understand me quite as well.

As I recover, caregivers assist me. We walk together. They drive me to I need be. They use my camera take pictures of my recovery.

Best of all, I'm beginning to use my phone's camera again. It takes two hands. My right hand has enough control to push the button about half the time. It's good be on Flickr again.

Playing a round of golf

The stoke index is used to identify the most difficult holes on the courses and on which holes golfers will receive additional strokes.

Stableford is a scoring system used in the sport of golf. Rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, as in stroke play, it involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. Unlike traditional scoring methods, where the aim is to have the lowest score, under Stableford rules, the objective is to have the highest score.

The number of points awarded on each hole is determined based on comparison of the number of strokes taken to a fixed score, usually par. This fixed score is then adjusted in relation to the player's handicap. Once players have taken two strokes more than the adjusted fixed score, they may abandon the hole and move on to the next, as it is then not possible to score any points on that hole. Because of this, it is still possible to be competitive even allowing for a few bad holes. At the end of the round, the number of points scored on each hole is totaled to give a final score. The winner of a Stableford competition is the player with the highest point total. Final scores may be modified for all players using the Competition Stableford Adjustment system.

The Oakland Motor Car Company of Pontiac, Michigan, was an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1907 and purchased by General Motors in 1909...the company continued to produce modestly priced automobiles until 1931 when the brand was dropped in favor of the division's Pontiac make...

With a family day out to Lowther Castle planned and having just arrived, i duly checked what was running. To my surprise, the logs were running and pathed under the wires, even better they were running an hour late giving me the only loco photo of the day, so here in splendid scenery and sunny weather is Colas 70812 as it heads through the mighty Lowther Estate (some 72,000 acres in total) at Yanwath, Cumbria working 6J37 10:59 Carlisle Yard-Chirk Kronospan. 25/06/2018.

Friday 29th September 2017

By chance, while dancing, we all ended up lined up like this, girls and boys apart...but those were cute guys! In this picture it looks like we girls are running to get them, but actually we all danced separated like this for quite a while and had a fun chat :)

Returning with a huge BÄNG!!

After over two years of being out of my Flickrcommunity I decided to drop some fresh bombs since a lot of good stuff happened and came along in these past years.

My personal lightning stroke picture - probably for life. A huge lightning storm surrounded my flat, sothat I was working with three cameras simultaneously. One was pointed on Kiel`s telecommunication tower. Call it jealously pure luck or accept my godlike prediction skills paired with a huge bond with Thor. I was deeply stroked since i didn`t see that one hit the tower directly but as you can see; it did. OOoooow, how it did!!

I noticed that there were many lightning strikes in a certain area and I had my 55-200 lens on because the storm was still far away so I took a chance and zoomed into that same area hoping to get a closer up photo of a strike and I got lucky! :)
