strobists: background and bike is lite by a bare sb-80x. My brother is lit by a sb-800 shot through a white umbrella. The brolly was positioned high and slightly to the left of him.

strobist : 580EX snooted and backlighting a white board. shot in manual power @ 1/32, triggered by ETTL cord which was modded.
Shot was further enhanced in Photoshop to bring more vignetting and color boost.

My first strobist shot!
Promaster 5750DX (no manual control) held at arm's length camera right. Shopping bag diffuser and curled magazine gobo to keep light off the wall behind me. Camera triggered remotely, f/22 at 1/3 second.
That's right, wait for the shutter click then press the trigger button on the flash.
Strobist info: 430ex into white shoot-through umbrella 1/8 power camera right. SB-24 with blue gel 1/2 power into the background behind chalkboard.

2 Sunpak 383s at 1/2 power fired through white shoot-thru umbrellas on stands about 45 degrees either side of camera. One Quantaray 370 on stand in the rear with 3/4 CTO gel facing toward camera at full power.
This model is always available and doesn't complain if I take a while setting up the lighting.
Strobist Info: bare Sunpak 383 on keyboard bounced back into face 1/16 power, another Sunpak 383 through white brolly high and slightly camera left on 1/8 power. 16 channel ebay remotes.

Umbrella camera left with 550 EX, bare 580 camera right, both triggered with PW, reflector camera right.
Strobist info: it's all done with off camera lighting although the bulb is being lit by itself. For the base I am firing a dynalite 2040 and 1000watt pack into a wall at about halfpower. The wall is camera right and the bulb was upside down on top of the socket at the time.
Just screwing around really. I saw this from Robert Miller and I decided to give it a try. Mine is 6 or 7 exposures plus the base and I used enfuse for lightroom instead of photomatix to combine them.
