Strobist: one SB-800 camera right with CTO gel in the middle of a hallway
This one isnt really flash related, but one of the videos was about light painting, so I gave it a shot
Today heralds the start of my project 365 with a focus on strobing. Hopefully once completed, i can look back and see myself leveling up =D
Day 1
I have no idea what this flower is so if you do, be sure to let us know! It's one of my mum's favourite and it's currently more valuable than my camera- or so my mum assures me. "You hurt the flower, i hurt your camera" was the quote IIRC. anyhoo, details:
Camera info: Canon 40D | Sigma 24-70 @70mm | ISO 100 | 1/200sec at f / 2.8 handheld
Strobist info: Nikon SB-26 @ 1/16 power into collapsed reflective umbrella 2" away on right of subject. System triggered by povo-wizards
Donated some time and effort today to the Halo House of Houston (http://www.halohousefoundation.org), who needed photographs taken of some of their apartments. This is my first foray into 'architectural photography'. Clearly, i have a lot to learn.
done using strobing disco light and low shutter speed if anyone's got any ideas on a flashgun that can do this wirelessly (ebay trigger/ cactus, v2s,) do tell thank you!

Strobist: one SB-800 bounced off the back wall for fill. The main light was a SB-800 shot through a 60 inch Umbrella on a boom.
We got follow peter along on another model shoot and this time I got to test out my Nikon with it and I must say I'm quite happy with the little guy ^_^ .
Retrying yesterday's shot, using an umbrella instead of bouncing from the ceiling. I like the umbrella. It softens up the shadows, yet still leaves enough shadows to provide a little mystery.
This was my 430EX2 shooting into a shoot-through umbrella. The strobe was about 45 degrees camera left.
I taught a strobe lesson in Shinjuku, with the help of the talented Youko Sunshine and makeup by Beauty By Alexandre. After we got the makeup on, it went fantastically. Thanks to everyone involved, and especially to David and Tom.
One flash lighting the background and a £2.99 disco strobe from Argos lights the foreground, streaks made by mobile phone.
Got my RF flash trigger today from Hong Kong. It works really well, and there's an entertaining translation on the package.
