Donated some time and effort today to the Halo House of Houston (http://www.halohousefoundation.org), who needed photographs taken of some of their apartments. This is my first foray into 'architectural photography'. Clearly, i have a lot to learn.
captured on the first try - notice the "shadow" left by the inflated balloon.... need to experiment with location of puncture point for different effects....

Flash moved around subject to mimic Strobist 101 lesson - these "pick shots" are black and white versions
Tried a white card to reflect light on a number of shots to create uniform light, otherwise it was just going up and down on power and moving the flash around until things looked interesting
Flash was set to low power and was under subject pointing upward. Spoooooky. Zero constant/ambient light in room - flash only lighting.
I taught a strobe lesson in Shinjuku, with the help of the talented Youko Sunshine and makeup by Beauty By Alexandre. After we got the makeup on, it went fantastically. Thanks to everyone involved, and especially to David and Tom.
This one was taken by moving the camera while the subject and light were still, rather than by keeping the camera still as the subject/light moved. Still very dark in the bottom right; I wasn't able to brighten it up very much in picassa.
