My A string's wearing out, but I cannot remember which strings these are and I do not want to cycle in to Cambridge Strings with the violin, so I need a photo for identification. Anyone - what strings are these?
HORMOZGAN GATHERING, DAY 2:
These colorful strings are the wing strings of paraglider!
On dinner time of first day of our travel, we found that Vahid, our kind host in BandarAbbas is a paragliding flier.
When we kidding him to show us some paraglider flight, he told us that tomorrow (day 2) will held a paragliders gathering on Genu mount near BandarAbbas. We yelled and scheduled for going to Genu...
I can't describe you how joyful was "looking" them flying! looking at their shiny eyes when they spoke about flight...
We couldn't fly, because we didn't have any experience, but we (me & Somayeh) promised each other for learning it as soon as possible after birth of our chick!
This shot is related to my day by day itinerary of our journey to Hormozgan, during 7th Iranian Flickr Gathering: Hormozgan.
Wait for more photos of each day of journey at upcoming near future ;)
Times are tough. Aya Kaguri and Mana Miyuki try to raise a little money for new strings. Listen to the Minor Swing.
Taken at a friends sons wedding.

When I am old, and cannot hear, I will miss the sound these make beneath his fingertips. The music soothes me, the tones rich and so full of life. I wish I could describe my pleasure when I hear him play...

After mentioning it yesterday, I just had a dig up a picture of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. I absolutely love the theme of this area with the larger life props like the Strat, piano keys, and upside down car. My adrenaline starts pumping as soon as I round the corner, pass through the gates, and hear the loud music filling the air.
It may seem a bit odd, but typically I find myself listening to a lot of Aerosmith before a WDW trip. That's probably not your typical "get in the Disney mindset" kind of music, but it always seems to take me right back here. This is one ride that I actually don't mind a short queue because I like taking in all of the details inside and enjoying the music.
Then, of course, there is the ride itself which is simply awesome... enough said!

and again a large quilt from my drawer of precut 1 1/2" and 2" strings. - I wonder how they multiply though I hardly ever use yardage exept for backing.
I was going to Bicycle Sport Shop (next to Muscimaker's on South Lamar) the other day to get my tires fixed and I saw this guy enjoying a typical Austin moment.
The guitarist is from Canada. Wish I had gotten his email to forward a copy of the photo.
My little Sony Point and Shoot has been very handy.
Two of my friends are learning guitar. Visited their place today and I captured the instrument as I don't know to play it. :D
I love music. LOVE it. But I can't play any instruments. The only thing I can play is my radio.
(hahaha....an old joke my dad used to use.)
I started this a while ago, wanting to do something to remember the Olympics by. I've used the "Tanglepatterns.com" strings Nos 5-9 and the colours of the five rings. I wanted to try and use patterns that gave a feel for some of the many sports and events that took place.
The "scoop" type design in the bottom left (yellow) corner is based on the petals that formed the top of the Olympic flame.
The "wheels" in the same corner are a tribute to Sir Chris Hoy and Bradley WIggins our most successful Olympians.
I'm a bit disappointed with the piece as it is, so might come back to it after my shoulder's sorted, but I wanted to post it tonight at the end of a fabulous two weeks. Love to all. xxx :@) Fi
.....For time brings
Thoughts that only
Will be quiet when someone clings to my
Apron strings
And i'll be perfect in my own way
When you cry i'll be there
I'll sing to you and comb your hair
All your troubles i will share
For apron strings
Can be used for other things
Than what they're meant for
And you'd be happy wrapped in my
Apron strings...
