Full house in Carnegie Hall, where the New York String Orchestra together with Hillary Hahn performed Bach's "Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra in D Minor" and Beethoven Symphony No.7. But it was Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" that made me raise my pen from the paper and hold my breath with the rest of the audience.

I went out to a pub to support my friend's girlfriend singing - caught these guys (Peter on guitar + a bassist) in her band strumming a tune...interesting tid-bit of info: the scuffed up guitar in the photo used to belong to Johnny Cash. The guitar is worth upwards of a 1/4 million $$$$

Transmits sounds from the strings to the body of the bass. This bass is at least 100 years old and still going strong!

Thank you for all your comments/faves, they are much appreciated. Have a Safe and Happy Sunday.

All my images this week were taken during my visit to Aberdeenshire in October. I'm away and/or busy for most of this week. Will catch up with comments when I can.
