With people milling about and with zero traffic, expectation was hanging heavy in the air for me, especially as I had taken a good 7hr long distance detour to witness this annual religious orgy- the Trichur Pooram! I was taking pictures left, right and centre, which greatly amused some of the passers by! (Trichur/ Thrissur, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016)
A backpacker has found an ingenious way to raise money. She has in front of her a box with a notice 'I am traveling around the world by walking. Please help me' or words to the effect. It was peak tourist season so whenever someone dropped a few coins or notes into her box, she would do this mime routine. This in in Nizami St in Baku, Azerbaijan. I uploaded this picture thrice on fb and it even acknowledged that it was in the Baku album, but this video somehow keeps disappearing from the Baku fb album and keeps moving to my 'Videos' album. (that last bit is for my Fb viewers only, Flickr viewers please ignore- yes this album is available on Fb as well). (Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017)

Callie and Chandler's first dance at their rustic backyard wedding. Such a gorgeous evening! For some reason this photo always makes me think of Alice in Wonderland, and I really don't know why other than perhaps the color scheme.

I’ve always enjoyed taking photos at night in the rain. The colourful lights reflect beautifully in the wet pavement creating this soft glowing effect. This alleyway lined with merchant shops in Quebec City, Canada was the perfect opportunity to snap some night time street photography. The old stone buildings and French balconies offer a bit of old world charm for a really interesting mix of old and new architecture. The strings of light cascading across the alleyway creates that magical feeling that I’m always in search of and forever grateful when I find it.

These stringlight ceilings are everywhere as well, you also will notice that many of the lights are not turned on throughout the mall, to save energy I assume.

I love the string lighting hung from the ceiling in The American Cafe. They also have old ads hanging on the walls. Restaurant is located in Hamilton Place Mall. We had lunch there.
