Always try to focus on the good. It is true, when we have a positive attitude, we may not be changing the world, but the world seems to change around us. It is amazing how if you start the day with a smile and a thankful heart, the hardships to come don't seem as bad.

In the beginning, while taking care of my husband, I had to get up every couple hours with him. I started to get exhausted and overwhelmed. It got to a point where I decided I needed a change or the delirium would get the best of me. Instead of being frustrated when he needed me to help in the night, I thought to myself, "I have the honor of getting up to take care of the man I love. He is still alive and healing without complications. It is my blessing from God to be his hands and feet right now". When I changed my way of thinking, suddenly having to get up wasn't such a big deal anymore. The power of an attitude of gratitude works like a miracle. Give it a try one day.

dreaming of spring...

It’s always time for tea in my books. We mainly drink herbal and green teas at my house, but always have regular black tea on hand as well. First thing in the morning: tea. Throughout the day and after work/school: tea. If anyone feels sick, upset or unhappy, we have tea. I can’t imagine life without it. It’s one of my favourite things for sure.
