Shenandoah Stream - taken this weekend (October 25, 2014) at the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. This was taken along the South River Falls path at mile marker 62.8. I think I only fell once on this one.
Went out on a small trail near the Roaring Fork motor trail and sighted this beautiful place. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Tennessee.

Water streams are one of my most favorite subjects to shoot. I got an opportunity to click water streams during my visit to talakona falls in chittoor. I went there in mid-day and the sunlight was so harsh which was not the right time to shoot such subjects. Although i did not get a highly satisfying shot, i did what i could with what nature presented me.

After an overnight and early morning rain, I found many streams and fantastic little pools of water with circling foam
I took a couple of photos at this spot along the West Highland Way in 2011, with a wider angle lens, and despite some technical shortcomings really liked them. But due to being convinced it was in a slightly different area about a mile further east, I could never relocate the exact spot.
Ten years later - almost to the day - I finally found it again, completely by chance. However, I think the wider angle did it more justice so I must give it another go next time I have the opportunity.

“Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.”
― Robert Frost
