Small stream located on the island of Cebu

Wow, how is this February?! It's 60 degrees outside, and the bright sun is rapidly melting the snow. We had rain and thunder last night, melting the snow enough to cause the little river in the back yard to flood in some areas. Us New Hampshire-ites have had an extraordinarily odd winter, but that's fine with me!

I took this shot with my camera on a tripod in nearly two feet of water. I used a Hoya ND8 filter, and a Vello wired shutter release. I almost fell into the water once... It wouldn't have felt very warm out if I hadn't managed to catch myself!

Thank you all for checking out my photos! Feel free to let me know what you think of this photo. Thank you! :)

Stream flowing through the wood down through the gardens and into the river beyond. We own the land and have fishing rights but the riverbed belongs to the Crown Estates whilst the actual river is managed by the regional water authority.

A peaceful morning along a quiet forest stream after a fresh snowfall.

I rounded a bend on a stream and this heron and I just stared each other down for a bit since we were both surprised. Thankfully I did manage to get the camera up and shoot some photos!

capturing images at just the right moment, even a simple stream, can be an interesting challenge

Just outside of Auckland on the west coast, there is a place called Karekare. The stream runs in two ways. This is from the topside of the stream after heavy rains.

A young black Sea wolf (Canus lupus crassodon) starts to cross a tidal stream, moving to my side of the stream on her hunt for food. She was relaxed but clearly curious as she looked in my direction. Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia.

The blue springs of Putaruru at Te Waihou walkway is a natural spring on the north island of New Zealand. Water takes up to 100 years to filter through the vegetation. The resulting water is so pure and clean that it produces a beautiful blue colour while being virtually clear.

While the masses were hanging out around Sprague Lake and Moraine Park looking for Bull Elk and Moose, I did a little off trail exploring and found some cool waterfalls and streams without any people around. The sound of falling water rushing over the rocks in this scene was very calming.

This stream is Comb beck which ends up in Buttermere lake. Unfortunately sunrise wasn't very good this morning so I will be back at some point during Autumn or spring, hoping for a better sky and the nice rich colours.
