This small stream called Toyohira river goes down through the city of Sapporo, and joins to Ishikari river. Both the reddish rocks and greenish water indicate effects of hot springs distributed along the creek.

This stream is normally just a trickle of water but after the heavy rains it became a little more impressive. To get a long exposure on the TZ3 I again set the camera to "Night Mode" even though it was mid afternoon!
I find light streaming with long exposures a form of art. You can manipulate your camera to do funky designs. I'd love to one day successfully spell my name with this method. You think that's doable?
We went to the Ureweras but it was shut! The great walk was closed due to track damage from the snow storm, the camp ground turned us away and the visitor centre wasn't open for 3 days. So we explored a lot of the smaller tracks, streams and trap lines looking for interesting forest to photograph. We came across this scene right near the end of our trip. I was pretty excited! I haven't worked through all the comps yet from this place but will post a couple more probably
Central Maine & Quebec job 210 rolls over Marsh Stream in Winterport, with an eclectic lashup, and eighteen cars. The southbound out of Brownville Junction got delayed waiting for the eastbound #2 to come in, resulting in this job being delayed as well, which is why they're heading south in the afternoon, instead of the morning as normal. With rumors of the B23-7s impending replacement, it was nice to get one of the two BNSF painted ones leading.
This was a stream I spotted near to our accommodation in Cornwall. The fallen leaves on the moss covered rocks tells the story of approaching Autumn and high winds. later that day it stared to rain and carried on for hours, the next morning it was a couple of feet deep I think . A five shot focus stack.

A small stream that I sometimes visit, in the winter time I come to watch for the European/White-throated Dippers which can be seen along the stream from October/November to March/April, the Dipper is only a visitor in the winter time.
