What constitutes a victory?

in nature, in life?

what instigates completeness

in human nature?

as if we should know

by now

when we look to our East

as sunrise will allow

with opaque challenges

along the way

we're taken by provenance

and it's prospering display

illuminating our westerly

point of departure

upon the sanctity of dreams

in flight, a liftetime's enacture

set against the sheer north of winter

seen upon the earth

aureon freedoms pure

the streamers of light and birth

for a southerly heart

it's avital navigation fresh

blood is the ultimate passport

with constant abilities to refresh

central to the theme today

and indeed, all that follow

is quiescent truth in us all

not always easy to swallow

yet, give it time, breath easy

let dreams be your sanctuary

subjacent to all of reality

are your dreams free and orbituary.

Koinobori are carp-shaped streamers. Families with boys fly Koinobori outside from April through early May, in honor of Children’s Day on May 5 which was originally Boys’ Festival. The carp is believed to be a lucky fish symbolizing success in life so that families with boys fly carp-shaped streamers wishing for good health and growth for their boys.

We celebrate May 5th as Boys' Day in Japan and display a decoration called "KOINOBORI" (carp streamer) for the day. The carps is a symbol of family.

Colorful sutra streamers catch the eyes everywhere in Tibet as they join snow-capped peaks, grassland, monasteries forming this unique sight.

Sutra streamer, flag made either of cloth, silk or handmade paper with Buddhist scriptures on it is believed to bond human and God in Tibetan culture.

According to Tibetan custom, the sutra streamer is painted in five colors in the order of blue, white, red, green and yellow, symbolizing the blue sky, the white clouds, the red flame, the green water, and the yellow earth respectively, and corresponding to the five elements of water, metal, fire, wood and earth of the universe.

The sutra streamers is also called the "wind-horse flag". It is believed that the guardian Gods of mountains and rivers make inspections by horses and wind in the snowy mountains, forests, prairies and valleys to ward off evils and ensure peace on the plateau.

Construction, Week 62 (Demolition, Week 2)

Another look on the left end of the store shows this view. You can see the roof already starting to cave in a little in the center of this shot; whether thanks to a push from a backhoe or simply as a result of its own weight, it had fallen inside the former sales floor by this afternoon.

Whatever material that is left hanging from the ceiling (as you likely remember from the construction of the new store, I’m terrible at building terms!), it reminds me of streamers you might see hanging down at a party… except this party, while maybe fun to watch, isn’t documenting all that happy of an occasion :/

At certain times of the year, many of the forest plants seem to be yellow. Here, a patch of low Acacia plants are flowering and enhanced by the late sunlight shining through the trees.

川越市 大正浪漫夢通り イベント『およげ鯉のぼりくん』

Hi guys!

Sorry for the lateness of my upload today; had to go directly from work to dinner and a movie with friends so just got home now at 9 PM!

Here is another shot from the lovely and amazing GlobalFest 2014 opening night fireworks, presented by the fireworks team from Japan!

This section of the display was very unique and beautiful; these five beautiful purple, blue and gold sparklers seemed to just stand above the lake and give off streamers for a few minutes, it was awesome!

Hope you are all having a great week so far!
