Storms in the Daytona Beach area can be really beautiful things as they push out to sea. This front was preceded by impressive clouds that looked like piles of cotton balls stacked on top of each other and ready to fall off. They remained intact far out to sea.
Sitting on the cliffs at Redpoint I was really taken by this licthen covered rock and was trying to get a composition when the job became easy. Highlighted by the setting sun a storm was kicking off over on the Island of Skye, so a quick change in angle and that was picture. The litchen covered rock needed to be in sharp focus and the f13 aperture would take care of the rest, jobs a good’un.
Here we go again with another storm on the way tonight - makes for some dramatic pictures though ;)

Lightning strike over Orleans, Ontario on July 29, 2011 - Taken from Wall Rd, south of Orleans. Timing between the flash and thunder puts this lightning flash at about 3km away from my location.

A snow storm approaches over the mountains to Reine on Lofoten Islands.
On this beautiful morning, series of snow storms passed over the islands with amazing light in between the storms.
I really love a sunlit scenes like this with a dramatic backdrop with dark skies. The dark skies complimented the menacing mountains shaped by the glaciers during the ice age. I would never get tired of admiring these mountains.

Storm Bert hit Lulworth Cove, tremendous rain, spray and wind made it a bit wild trying to keep a clear lense.
The combination of chance of storms and a day off meant a day out... I caught a hold of a few little storms throughout the afternoon...

Bucklin, Kansas
On a day where we weren't sure if storms were going to fire at all, we watched this beautiful supercell at sunset just north of Bucklin in western Kansas. About 5-10 minutes before this shot was taken, this supercell exploded on top of us and dropped tennis ball sized hail and put a couple good dents in my car.
We also debated about picking the north storm or this southern one when storms eventually did fire and we decided to chase the southern storm which paid off with this gorgeous structure and it went tornado warned with rotation at times.
- It was raining and a northern Atlantic storm rolling in at Jæren, south-western coast of Norway in april.
I could tell the sunset would be rainy, stormy and not what I had hoped for,
so I did my best to shoot this piece of lonely drift wood with an incoming storm as a backdrop.

Aptly named. We saw nothing but storms of one sort or another from the time we arrived until well into the next day. Magical place. Hope this image gives it justice.
It is thunderstorm season on the Gold Coast of Eastern Australia. This is image presents the tail end of the storm as the onshore wind (left) confronts and topples the thunder heads approaching from the southwest. The radar dome in silhouette serves the Gold Coast Airport a few kilometres to the east (left). The view is due south from Elanora, a Gold Coast suburb.
We had a sudden storm blow in today. One minute it was sunny and mild, then the wind picked up and the skies darkened. The weather alert issued a warning for severe thunderstorms with winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. I went out to get a few shots and the wind slapped me, the air was charged. I love a good storm! If you view it large you'll see a small fishing boat on the left trying to outrun the storm.
