A large storm moved across Sydney yesterday, here seen across the Manly Dam bushland. A stitched panorama.
Between 9:08PM and 9:38PM MDT, an active complex of thunderstorms stretched from western Nebraska into eastern Colorado. This particular display was near Sydney, about 100 miles to my east from Cheyenne, Wyoming. I lightened this 36 stacked image in Photoshop.
This storm was just north of Papillion, Nebraska. It was awesome because it was a thing of beauty and did no damage.

Grey clouds almost completely covered the skies pre dawn this morning, but I headed to one of my favourite beaches just incase Mother nature performed at sunrise, strong northerly winds whipped the beach and distant rumbles of thunder echoed around me, spotting rain, the skies did light with contrasts over the jetty... if you look closely there is also a small lightning strike where the stone wall meet the jetty.... Hudson was safely waiting in the car.
Aptly named. We saw nothing but storms of one sort or another from the time we arrived until well into the next day. Magical place. Hope this image gives it justice.
It's been three years ago tonight that I photographed this series of a tornado forming and then unwinding over a local lake. It was great seeing although a bit frightening!

Storm clouds roll over California'a coastal forests.
Ever since I first came across this scene, I wanted to capture it. I didn't have to wait too long for the next storm to roll in.
On Good Friday 2024 the skies for the last hour of the day were amazing. These are views from my flat overlooking the peak district and manchester Airport
A little storm came through this evening...Wasn't a lot of lightning but got a couple bolts...This one was branching all over the sky..Camera didn't show it all....
