Building cloud activity around us, even with modern technology it's not that easy to say if a Tornado will or won't appear.
Even without a tornado supercell storms are utterly incredible and I wasn't that bothered about a tornado.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted this funnel cloud. South east of Calgary, AB about 20km. The funnel was approx halfway down towards the ground when I first spotted it. By the time I got off the busy road, got my camera, the funnel was quickly retreating back. I hung around for 1/2hour hoping that it would descend again. So such luck.
My friends and I chased this storm from north of Ellinwood to Salina KS following it on highway 156 and 140. there was storm chasers following this storm. we saw up to 20 cars ahead of us on highway 140. You know you're on the right storm when there's tons of chasers everywhere and the DOW (doppler on wheels), from OK. 5-8-21.
The main workhorse of my equipment, the Fujifilm S5 Pro, 18-200mm Nikon, with my Foolography GPS device plugged into the front muti-pin connector.

Eventually I had to sort of go around the storm. I eventually wound up in an area of both inbound and outbound winds. It was really unusual since the wind would randomly blow in different directions. As I started to make my way back towards the storm this little eddy / gustnado spun up and crossed the road.
