Love the house looking tiny , it navies scale to the monster storm above it.

We chased the one series of storms for more than seven hours.

More electricity pylon's that go to the horizon and beyond.

Catching these wind turbines in a line behind each other makes for an interesting shot.

Lightning started numerous grass fires.

The bit to the right of the cloud is called the forward flank downdraft, this is where we see most lightning activity.

Our last night of chasing was spectacular.

May 21, 2011 - Kearney Nebraska US

Wow... Moving into the later part of May 2011 and our storm season that is normally hear by late April with some severe storms just hasn't made the grade this year.

Just finishing up washing the deck down and it was still sunny at that time. We did have a chance of storms with a small front pushing though. Though the chance of this going severe was not going to happen.

Though it was not severe I did grab the gear and headed out to see what I could capture for that afternoon with these mild Nebraska Stormscapes.

The second tornado east of Kingman, KS.

Best I could get last night...once dark hit we could't find any....oh well, hopefully another month to try.

Back at our hotel in Valentine, whilst catching up on some washing this wee vehicle turns up, TIV2!

As we continue to drive more clouds are building...

Massive flooding has hit many states in America, here in Minot, North Dakota trucks upon trucks help build flood defences, some parts of this town were already under water...
