I've never posted an after shot of my office. It's a tiny room, and I have a lot of books and craft supplies, so storage solutions are the primary concern.
I apologize for the general crappiness of this photo - I took it with my new pocket digital because it shoots wide angle, but I'm still not happy with this camera.
Seeing that I forgot to post this here, I am now updating Rescue 1 to its current iteration. Rescue 1 has received their latest rig, a 2021 Seagrave Marauder II/SVI heavy rescue! This rig replaces the 2017 Spartan Gladiator. Like the previous generation of rescues, this apparatus has a partial walk-in compartment that stores the wet/dry suits, ALS equipment, and forcible entry tools. Also, a custom slide out increases interior space for command purposes. Unlike the prior rigs, the side door to the walk-in compartment was eliminated as the crew primarily enters through the cab. This allowed design engineers to add storage solutions for high frequency tools. Another new change for the rig was to move the air compressor to the top of the rig to free up space in the compartments.
Rescue 1 is staffed by 6 men and responds to calls in the northern half of the city, while Rescue 2 handles the southern half. Rescue 1 also cross-staffs Rescue Platform 1. The compartments hold a wide variety of tools for various rescue applications including confined space rescue, high angle rescue, trench rescue, vehicle extrication, underwater/swift water rescue, and hazmat.

Pretty sure this was a mid-century addition to the adjacent Saint Fidelis Basilica, although it now seems to be at least partially used by a company called Storage Solutions.
The storage solution helping me rationalise the space in my doll room. Thanks to Amber-Jane's suggestion and Mosslandas from Ikea.
Above are photos of my new SKB iSeries hard-sided case with inserts by ThinkTank. This is the SKB iSeries 2015-7DL.
When trying to decide what case would work best, I had some difficulty making a selection. I hope these images might help others who are searching for a hard case.
It may be obvious to most, but it took me some time to decipher the naming convention. In the iSeries, the numbers are the case’s dimensions. For my case, the 2015-7DL indicates that the case's internal dimensions are 20” by 15” and 7” deep. The “L” suffix means that the lid organizer is included.
Few retail locations (near me) carry more than one or two options, so I would have to try
To figure out what would fit, I found the interior dimensions and taped off the sizes of various cases on a floor. I laid my gear out in a variety of grid configurations to see what would work best.
Some additional considerations:
• I envision using this case as both a storage solution for most of my Fuji gear and to take to large shoots. However, any time I would use this much gear, I would travel almost exclusively by car so I did not want a wheeled case
• When deciding what would “make the cut” to be included in my storage case, I decided that I would keep chargers and cords for both camera batteries and speed lights, but not cleaning supplies (rocket blower, sensor wipes, etc.).

Framed The Starry Night by Van Gogh for $2? WIN! This is the only Van Gogh I'd ever consider actually putting up. You can tell that this picture got wet in the past, but it really only affects the matte, not the print itself.
You can also see my creative storage solution for mid-sized dolls: Hang them on the speaker wire / Christmas lights. This allows them to exist in spaces that would not otherwise be utilized, thus reducing their footprint to 0. The Deady doll on the right is by goth musician / animator Voltaire. This is my mini/Rement storage solution. I store things in mini jewelry bags and then sort them by category into these clear school boxes that I got for 0.50 each in September. I have not labeled them, yet because I still have many more minis in a big box to organize like this and a bunch of empty clear pencil boxes. This is really working out well for me. I like a loose system that is not too restrictive and allows for growth :)

There is, as far as I can tell, no good way to store spices. I've tried those pre-fab racks that have a predetermined number of jars. I use WAY too many spices for those to be useful. Some are too small, others too large. Some don't have a large enough mouth for a measuring spoon. There are some spices that I need a lot of (and therefore bigger jars), and some I only buy in small quantities. Finally, after years of hunting for the perfect spice storage solution, I've settled on using jars from the foods I'm buying anyways. And truthfully, I like the way those oddly shaped jars look filled with yummy spices.
On my days off, I love to cook. The more I branch out, the more spices are required. While these are pretty standard (granulated garlic, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, dried chilis, star anise), the jars you can't see hold Schezuan Peppercorns, Coriander Seeds, Fenugreek, and Habanero Pepper Flakes...

So what do we do with the green-waste we’ve just shredded and screened? Pile it up nice and high!!! I took this picture a while back of the massive compost mountain which I used to see on each visit to Kimbriki tip. I don’t know if this is the local northern beaches stockpile awaiting use or if this is the storage solution until they get into processing the material. Maybe this is their idea of windrow composting? Just one massive pile containing a few hundred tonnes of green-waste haha I imagine they’d achieve this mountain as a result of the processing equipment ejecting and shooting the material up to the top, just like a mulcher does, but with more force in this case. With the steep angle, it looks like an excavator or loader would’ve flipped and rolled back onto itself until it hit the bottom. Haven’t been to Kimbriki in a while, but I’m sure this is still an icon for the green-waste drop-off area.

I have been considering paying for a monthly subscription to Flickr. My reasons being, 1) I could do with having a storage solution for my full-size photos, 2) I like engaging in photography and should be making time to do it more, 3) I would also use this is a blogging solution.

The small Expedit shelf from IKEA fits perfectly under the deep attic windows in my creative space. The white wooden boxes with glass lids and words on it are fabulous for storage too. The turnable display as well as the three word boxes where gifts for last Christmas and my last b-day from my dear daughter.

I got into miniature painting just before 3rd edition of Warhammer 40K, meaning, around 93 perhaps? I have an old receipt which states I bought Space Marine (EPIC) in early 94, and that's what I collected the most of. Stopped in around 97 when it got too expensive, but I'm sure some will laugh at the idea of '97 GW being expensive compared to today...
Here's some of my 28mm figs though, the half painted ones which I've kept stowed away in misc boxes and really needed another storage solution for. Couldn't fit 'em all though. I keep my painted ones in a fancy glass cabinet.
Most of them are Eldar, and like a fool I decided to paint the entire army in bone and black, effectively ruining the visual identity of the figures and making everything (Aspect Warriors, Guardians) look samey. Fortunately no thick coats, so maybe I can just shoot a new basecoat on top with my airbrush.
Also seen, SoB, Space Marines (misc chapters), Necromunda Escher, someOrks I might use for Gorkamorka due to low count, random Dark Elves, Mutant Chronicles, Micro Macines used for Combat Cars.
Might be able to fill another three slabs with stuff I'm probably never gonna paint.

Built for Hero Factory Month over on EB. I hadn't checked EB in a while, and decided to see what's up. I've always had fun building Hero Factory figures at work, and always pick some up when on sale.
This gave me the excuse to actual use the parts I've bought, and it was indeed fun. It's not meant to be good by any means.
Also, sorting has slowed to a halt. I've discovered my current storage solutions are not capable of handling all this LEGO.
