The EBRD is committed to supporting the Green Energy Transition in its countries of operations. As more variable renewable energy sources are incorporated into the generation mix, new solutions are needed to ensure the stability of the electricity grid and the provision of reliable, high quality electricity supply. Additionally, the rise of distributed, consumer-led energy generation models may increase demand for solutions that decrease end users’ reliance on a centralized grid. Energy storage is likely to play a key role in providing such solutions to grid operators, generators and consumers alike.
This event brought together stakeholders from the private, public and financial sector to discuss the future of energy storage and its role in creating resilient, green economies. The panel explored the potential disruptive effect of storage on the energy industry, and how businesses and governments can contribute to and benefit from investment in energy storage solutions.

[[ Science Genius Girl ]]
It's the science genius girl! The front cover of this book depicts a lab-coated scientist working in her lab full of glass beakers. The image is recycled from a vintage 1950s book.
The back cover is made with brown kraft paper from a recycled grocery bag. Interior covers are a mix of off white tax charts and blue lokta fiber paper. The spine reinforcements are made with pages torn from the same vintage book as the cover. There are also two inter-office correspondence envelopes sewn into the first and last signatures, as a tidy little storage solution for your ephemera.
The textblock is made from 60lb, bright white drawing paper. The paper has a good amount of tooth and can handle ink, pencil and many other media.
Pages have rounded edges.
- 6.25" x 6.25" square. (15cm x 15cm)
- 240 pages.
- Bound with turquoise blue waxed linen thread.
The coptic style, exposed spine sewing allows this book to open completely flat, for ease of use.

I stumbled across this Dolomite on a disused north Oxfordshire trading estate in 2001, again one of those places that has been cleared for redevelopment. It would interesting to know how this car ended up here - possibly a short term storage solution, until the owner decided that it wasn't worth the effort perhaps? The car had been vandalised and looks like its been standing for several years before I discovered it. I don't recall it having any plates, but I would guess that its a later model, perhaps a SE version - which would date it from the early 80's.
NEW PANTRY! I spent a lot of time and a bit of money trying to get organized.
I bought some glass canisters with chrome screw-on lids from the dollar store and transferred all those baggies and plastic packages and pasta boxes over to the canisters. I made cute little labels for each bottle to tell me the contents. I'll be the first to admit that this isn't the most practical storage solution... where are the cooking instructions? Nutritional info? In some cases, I cut off that information and put it inside the back of the bottles so I could refer to it. Also, I'm not exactly how well sealed the jars are - we'll see how they hold up in terms of keeping the innards fresh. But they sure do look pretty!
Also, I bought some baskets for organizing all the bagged snack items I like to keep on hand, instead of trying to stuff them together on the shelf and hoping they don't fall. This will make it easier to pack snacks for the day, too... I can just pull out the baskets and quickly see what I've got to choose from.
I found some smaller baskets on clearance for $1.60 at Wicker Emporium. Unfortunately they are bright green. I briefly thought about dyeing them before realizing they have cardboard inside them. So they will remain green... whatever. Beggars cannot be choosers. Anyway, I hung little tags on each basket so I can quickly see the contents of the baskets without pulling each one out.
Recycling is the aspect of this pantry that's really going to be a challenge. I am very environmentally-conscious and try to recycle everything. This can get out of hand in a small space. I used to hang big recycling bags on the wall and take them out when they were full. I've now put a couple of milk crates on the floor with bags in them, and will try to make that work. I also rigged up a little cardboard sleeve out of a box I had on hand to hold recyclable paper until I can take it out.

I usually draw on A5, but on tuesday I decided to branch out and draw on nothing smaller than A3. Most sheets were A2. It felt smashing, big sweeping curves, and room for detail on fingers and toes.
If I carry on like this though, it will play merry hell with my storage solutions. I need to cut out the dead wood...

This project was a bit of a disaster, to be honest! I started off following this tutorial but changed it a bit. I had no pre-made bias tape and so did square corners. I haven't used the type of binding they use before though, so I ended up winging it. It was hard to bind with all the layers and insul-brite. But, I finished it!
I used prints from Erin McMorris's Weekends line! It matches my flat iron :)

When looking to rent or buy a portable storage container for your business, you’re probably looking for a versatile storage solution, easy-to-use, and low cost.
For those looking for quality portable storage containers, but who might not be sure what to look for to check your container for issues or damage, we’ve got the biggest things to look for to assess your container.
Don’t Believe Online Photos
Make sure to cross-check the container to receive or view to make sure its quality lines up with the photo of the other container that’s been posted – especially if it’s a used one.
Inspect the Exterior
When inspecting the outside of a portable storage container, you’ll want to first walk around the unit to look for corrosion, rust, or damage.
Inspect the Interior
When checking the interior of your container, check out your unit’s door fittings, gaskets, seals, and locking mechanisms, and that they’re airtight and in good working condition.

I don't know about you guys but my hobbies have a way of taking over our living space and can get down right ridiculous! In the quest to tame the clutter I've been rearranging and sorting our 700 sq. ft. condo and my little studio nook. I'll be posting organization photos as I work out the solutions.
Pictured is an under-the-bed container in our living room. It fits four short, low-profile cars (MGA Bratz and Mattel My Scene vehicles) but it does not fit larger vehicles such as the Irwin Hot Rod, Bratz Landcruiser, Mattel Chevy Bel Air and Jeeps. Still looking for a storage solution for those....

The QNAP TS-869 Pro was recommended to me for a contender for a RAID 0+1 config for my photography storage. Questions:
1. Anyone with experience with QNAP?
2. RAID 0+1 was recommended to me over RAID 5/6. Thoughts?
3. What other manufacturers should I consider?
Your help is greatly appreciated. I am still shopping. This one is an enclosure and I intend to put Hitachi drives on it because I don’t trust anyone else.

The curious sheds are upturned boast that are no longer seaworthy and cut in half. Once a common feature of fishing villages these boatsheds provided a useful storage solution.
We used to sell larger versions of these beautiful paper storage boxes from PLUS, the series is called Living Post which is very good for organizing your home and work desktop. This year they released a smaller version which is also cheaper at about HK$98 per piece. Instantly they became our top sellers in Xmas.
Most people have their stationery stuffed in a drawer without classification and eventually a lot of them are not used on regular basis, they are just lying there to be thrown away one day. The problem is, like most of your other stuffs, that without organization, things are not being used to their potential and this is such a waste.
So instead of putting stuffs in drawers, Living Post offers to have your gears accessible on your desktop. Yes you have to create a space for such storage boxes but the payback is guaranteed. You make things beautiful so that they become useful.
I now use a square orange box to store clips, craft related stuffs such as MT masking tapes, leather tools. The large drawer is just the right size for postcard or 4x6 photos, a calculator, Field Notes and Moleskine pocket size notebook fit perfectly well inside. My other narrow black box is used for photo related stuffs such as shutter release, 35mm film canisters, tapes, etc. It also serve as a place to put miscellaneous or temporary stuffs.
The Living Post drawers are tiny but enough. If you are not a stationery freak, chances are you will find it useful in your own ways. Say for storing daily cosmetic stuffs, for a dedicated place to store all your keys and cables, etc.
I wish they have a version with wood pattern which fits perfectly with my desktop theme at home.

Built by Fortuna Catamarans of South Africa, this is the luxury model called an "Island Spirit Elegante". Most "Island Spirits" are used within the charter yacht market around the world due to their spacious internal design & layout, but this one has always been a private vessel.
The vessel features full walk-around decks, a large easily accessible aft deck, wide sugar scoops and enormous storage solutions. It makes an ideal live-aboard long distance cruising home for serious sailors, and is fitted with a taller, stronger double spreader rig, bigger self-tailing winches for single-handed operation and more powerful 23hp diesels. Higher graded deck gear is also fitted, and no expense has been spared with the electronics. She also boasts larger "mini keels" for added stability and ease of careening. Ample power is on hand with new batteries, solar panels and a wind generator. Water is no problem with a 70 litre per hour water maker installed.
Internally there are four double cabins and two toilets / showers, and the fully equipped galley is large providing plenty of bench space, and the large saloon wraps around a solid wooden table. A large cockpit at the rear provides an excellent entertainment area.
