Symmetrix Capacity Storage Products Open New Markets For EMC
NEW YORK, NY--EMC Corporation today announced three new mainframe disk storage subsystems, including the capability to put a terabyte of information into 17 square feet -- slightly more floor space than the average desk. These new Symmetrix Integrated Cached Disk Arrays (ICDA) allow EMC to meet the demands of customers requiring very high capacity storage, requirements that are critical in the highly competitive global business environment.
The new Symmetrix 5500-9 (with a capacity of one terabyte), 5200-9 and 5200-3 incorporate the latest hardware and software technology through EMC's MOSAIC:2000 architecture. This architecture provides customers with advanced functions as their storage needs grow. For many leading corporations around the world, the toughest business challenge is to effectively store, access and safeguard their ever-growing repository of critical business information. Symmetrix provides an integrated series of solutions that meet the challenges of dealing with the corporate information explosion.

Originally part of the overall public art installation and exhibited for 3 months on the exterior of St David’s, the Soldiers’ Memorial Church, in central Auckland, New Zealand having been unveiled on Anzac Day 2015. Thousands were produced and each one represented a New Zealand soldier that served in WW1.
Continuing to physically process in to our collections today.
