This was my solution for storing 12x12 paper and other paper goods - I'd looked into some "official" 12x12 storage solutions but they were beyond what I wanted to spend. I bought a standard set of white wire storage cubes at Target and assembled them into cubes as usual, then used cable ties to attach the leftover wire squares inside the large cubes, creating 12" square shelves that are perfect for paper and other things that need to lie flat.

It's called Azimut 75. But when you go aboard you'll find that “floating home” comes more naturally. Why? Just make yourselves comfortable in the living area. The finely understated interior design creates an extremely sophisticated environment that draws on the contemporary loft space for its inspiration. A close eye for detail and skilfully contrasting materials convey an especially modern aesthetic: cream coloured natural fabric and black leather for the sofas, wood and crystal for the dinette table and rectangular geometrical inlays for the other furniture. Which is why, when you look through the large windows, you'll be even more surprised to see the sea slip past outside.
The helm station occupies almost the entire width of the yacht, featuring a control panel incorporating touch screen technology. The wood and steel galley setting can be fitted with a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a waste disposer. It shares a dual purpose unit with the dining area, providing a graceful and fully appointed bar on the living area side, plus a special cabinet to store various accessories on the kitchen side. Fitted sliding panels can be closed to separate the two areas or opened to exploit the full space.
Comfort and sophisticated design, but first and foremost light. Yes, the distinctive features of the owner's suite are the large windows the sunlight can flood through. They allow more light to pass than the portholes they replace, embellishing each and every corner of the suite. Thanks to these large windows you can enjoy a sea view from the lower deck too. Reclining com- fortably on the bed, for example, or sipping a cup of coffee sitting comfortably in the elegant living area on the starboard side, complete with armchairs and a table.

Built by Fortuna Catamarans of South Africa, this is the luxury model called an "Island Spirit Elegante". Most "Island Spirits" are used within the charter yacht market around the world due to their spacious internal design & layout, but this one has always been a private vessel.

Quit Dirty Coal was one of the messages that showed on this screen in Grosvenor Square as we were preparing for the march to Parliament Square.
This was the slogan on the banner I carried. I chose it because we need to press for Carbon Capture and Storage solutions to become the norm, despite technical challenges and costs. Humans will not stop using cheap plentiful nationally sourced coal, especially in the US, China and Germany (where it is brown and known as lignite). The message is not "Quit Coal", but "Capture and Sequester Carbon AMAP ASAP": as much as possible, as soon as possible.
The EBRD is committed to supporting the Green Energy Transition in its countries of operations. As more variable renewable energy sources are incorporated into the generation mix, new solutions are needed to ensure the stability of the electricity grid and the provision of reliable, high quality electricity supply. Additionally, the rise of distributed, consumer-led energy generation models may increase demand for solutions that decrease end users’ reliance on a centralized grid. Energy storage is likely to play a key role in providing such solutions to grid operators, generators and consumers alike.
This event brought together stakeholders from the private, public and financial sector to discuss the future of energy storage and its role in creating resilient, green economies. The panel explored the potential disruptive effect of storage on the energy industry, and how businesses and governments can contribute to and benefit from investment in energy storage solutions.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about handmade storage solutions, thanks to the Sewing Room Swap! I referred to Oh, Fransson's Stack & Nest Quilted Blocks free pattern, but with one less layer of interfacing and a lot less quilting, it looks a little bit rounded...But I love it anyway, and I loved being able to use up a lot of previously idle scraps! Of course, I owe the inspiration for the QAYG patchwork directly to Amy.
For my upcoming trip to Italy.
Factors that went into my decision:
Needing a photo storage solution I can rely on
No laptops at work (except a few broken ones with bad screens and/or faulty hard drives)
Time (too late to buy anything online)
People telling me to get a mac
Wanting a mac (but still not desperately needing one, except for this trip)
Checking my bank balance, doing the math on all upcoming bills and income I can count on for the next few months and realizing I really can afford it
Alex telling me not to splurge and get the aluminum macbook pro due to poor wifi reception helped me stop waffling about options
Paul convincing me that the macbook is the way to go (vs. battery drain and lugging around gigantor size of any of the 17" options I was considering) - how surreal is it that he was selling me on the idea of getting a mac
Realizing I don't need the most expensive one...and the least expensive didn't have enough RAM...but the "just right" one in the middle did and it also had some other necessary features (superdrive, slightly faster processor) for the price increase
Deciding all I really need resolution-wise is this - it's enough to get by on the road (even with all the apps/menus I always have to open) - and I'll always hook up to another monitor when I'm working at home or at a job
Therefore...figuring out that even the semi-cheap macbook would be plenty good enough...which made me feel even better about the decision
Realizing how many (few) trips to Target I could forgo and pay for this thing
Recently-made decision to stop buying lots of little crap and only buy the real things that I really want
I walked into the store pretty much knowing what I wanted. Asked a few questions about what the video card can handle and about the VGA vs. DVI connection with my work macbook (stretches out on my 24" widescreen monitor at home.) We believe we solved it with a DVI connector (I'll hook it up tomorrow to check).
When I walked out 15 minutes later, I felt like one of those rich people that walks into a store and points at things and buys anything they want. But not. Because this was a decision I labored over.
I'm also almost convinced I want an iPhone. It's the monthly plan increase that was warding me off...and now that I realize it'd be just $20 more a month...it's suddenly more worth it. Phones work in Europe now, too. Just when I was leaning toward trying to make all that happen before I leave, the sales guy made my decision a little easier by telling me they were out of iPhones. But now I think I want one. Bad. That's one way I could do internet anywhere while I'm there...or does that require wifi access? It's all through the cell line, n'est-ce pas?
I came home expecting to hook it up right away but I was exhausted and I laid down on the couch for a few minutes and promptly fell asleep.
One less stress. I'm starting to feel a lot better about a whole lotta things.
