Bagan, Myanmar. Some of the remaining architectural details on the Dhammayazika Pagoda Temple which lies in the eastern part of the Bagan plain, and was completed in 1198. Despite its massive size, it took only two years to build and consumed an estimated 6 million bricks. It’s one of the larger and significant temples in Old Bagan but was deserted until the 1990s when it was restored.
Until 1962 these doors hung at the main Castle Gateway, they were copied and replaced by the present door. Their age was recently tested by tree ring dating and they were found to be made no later than the 1190s making them the oldest castle doors in Europe.
El vestíbulo de ingreso es una sala transversal de 14 metros de longitud por 3,80 metros de anchura, con alcobas en ambos extremos separadas del resto de la sala por arcos de herradura sobre medias columnas, esquema que se irá repitiendo en todas las demás salas. A ambos lados de la entrada se ubican sendas tacas.
La sala está cubierta por bóveda de medio cañón y cuenta con 18 luceras estrelladas.
El suelo estuvo revestido de mármol blanco y las paredes enlucidas y pintadas con decoración de arquerías en color rojo sobre fondo blanco.

Forse risale al 937 la prima roccaforte a picco sul mare voluta per proteggere la costa dai pirati Normanni . Ma lo scenografico forte è trecentesco ,protetto da alte mura in arenaria rosa e da due precipizi scavalcati da un ponte levatoio . Oltre l'ingresso e le cortine ,rimaneggiati nel XVII secolo ,è il vasto cortile , attorno al quale si dispongono i corpi di guardia , gli alloggi del Governatore ,una cisterna e la Cappella ; superato il massiccio muro , si giunge alla quattrocentesca Tour de l'Echauguette e al Dongione ( 1341 ): dal cammino di ronda si gode di uno splendido panorama sulla costa di smeraldo e sul Cap. Frèhel che domina il mare con il faro alto oltre 100 metri .

Perhaps it goes back to 937 the first stronghold overlooking the sea wanted to protect the coast from the Normans Pirates . But the strong spectacular is the fourteenth-century ,protected by hight walls of pink sandstone and two precipices by passed by a draw bridge. In addition in inlet and curtains,reworked in the seventeenth century ,is the vast courtyard ,around with are avenged the gatehouses ,the apartments of the governor , a cistern and the chapel ;past the massive wall , we reach the fifteenth Tour de l'Echauguette and Dungeon (1341 ) : from the battlements you can enjoy a splendid view over the emerald coast and the Cap Fréhel overlooking the sea with the highest lighthouse
over 100 meters .
