El monasterio se fundó en el año 934. Las donaciones del obispo Rosendo le proporcionaron una fortuna importante. Posteriormente, el obispo de Santiago de Compostela asignó territorios y jurisdicciones al monasterio en la margen derecha del rÃo Eume. Al principio el monasterio perteneció a la orden de San Benito, pero cambió a la orden de San AgustÃn en el siglo XII
Tintern Abbey was founded by Walter de Clare, Lord of Chepstow, on 9 May 1131. It is situated adjacent to the village of Tintern in Monmouthshire, on the Welsh bank of the River Wye, which forms the border between Monmouthshire in Wales and Gloucestershire in England. It was only the second Cistercian foundation in Britain, and the first in Wales. Falling into ruin after the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century, the remains were celebrated in poetry and often painted by visitors from the 18th century onwards including JMW Turner and William Wordsworth
Asen's Fortress is a medieval fortress in the Bulgarian Rhodope Mountains, close to the city of Plovdiv, on a high rocky ridge on the left bank of a river. Elevation of 279 m.
The earliest archaeological findings date from the time of the Thracians, the area of the fortress being also inhabited during the Ancient Roman and Early Byzantine period. The fortress gained importance in the Middle Ages, first mentioned in the statute of the Bachkovo Monastery in the 11th century. The fortress was conquered by the armies of the Third Crusade.

El Balcón de Pilatos (también llamado Mirador de Ubaba) es un lugar con unas vistas increÃbles, que se encuentra en el borde sur del Parque Natural de Urbasa-AndÃa (Navarra) a 924 metros de altitud. Se halla sobre un enorme barranco con una caÃda de 300 metros y nos muestra espectacularmente toda la extensión del valle de las Améscoas; bajo el barranco se encuentra el salto de agua del nacedero del rÃo Urederra, una de las grandes maravillas naturales de Navarra.
