Today's story and sketch "by me" you see Knobby Gofish driving
one of his favorite muscle cars, it is of course his 1969 ZL-1,
with an aluminum engine churning out over 500 horsepower, the ZL-1 was the most powerful version of the already strong L-88 Corvette. In fact, ZL-1s were the most powerful production Corvettes available until just recently. Only two were known to have been built that year, and this one Knobby's uncle Buck drove off the assembly line is actually the third, one that was believed to have been stolen from the factory, (Which it was by Uncle Buck who was posing as a reporter for an Alien Motor sports Magazine, he just drove it away in broad daylight and into a Galaxy Transporter back to Lippo his home Moon), but that is a story for another time.
Knobby was given the ZL-1 by Uncle Buck when he got married to
Mable Ziggada. After their wedding they moved to her home
Planet Mushy, where there are no roads or even trails, but it does have a nice but damp climate. Above you will see Uncle Buck himself who just arrived at Wonder world to visit Knobby and show off his new XR-12 Glider, a wedding gift from Mable who actually owns the XR Glider Company, that she was left by her late husband Howard Ziggada, some in the family think Buck married Mable for her money or because she owns one of the biggest Glider companies in the Universe, or possibly because she is still a beautiful cougar even if she is three times as
old as Buck, but that to is a story for another time till then taa ta the Rod Blog.
A picture of my new stingray boots in daylight.
I'm glad they fit me perfectly, that's a risk ordering from the USA to Europe, you never know if the size will be right.
Qualitywise i'm pleasantly surprised, they're really (hand)made very well.

This is not a car, it's a work of art; the finest of sculpture combined with world class engineering. The vet is one of the many wonderful classics at the Gateway Auto Museum in Gateway, Colorado.
I should know better than to wade through the mangroves in bare feet and without my protective shoes on. Not just because mangrove shoots stab your feet, but there is nearly always a surprise around the corner. This stingray decided I was worth a closer look, he kept coming at me so I had to splash to scare him away. Also the deadly Stone fish lives in this area.

A stingray gently glides along the side of the aquarium glass.
I had the privilege of visiting the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago on April 8th, 2016, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This beautiful creature cruised slowly and effortlessly in its large enclosure.
I found this print from many years ago. I should pull the negative and rescan it. I always thought it looked like an image of another planet. When in all actuality is was taken in South Carolina.
No data but if I had to guess it would have been ISO 400 Kodak consumer film, 35mm in an Olympus OM2n. 1/4 ish of a second as seen in the movement of the swimming ray.
I was taking photos of the marina at dusk when this stingray drifted past very close to shore. Couldn't resist taking a quick shot.
Grand Cayman. Spent a great day with friends on a sailboat that took us out to Deep Stingray City. We were able to swim with the rays in about 3 meters of water. This one is about one meter across and not shy about rubbing up on you.

There are several options for the helmet. The Ninjago hood works the best in my opinion but the Boxer helmet and standard helmet are more accurate.
Use a plain white head.
Falcon's wings work very well. I chose them over a cape because Stingray is more well known for his wings.
Use the Shocktrooper torso for the red/white detailing. Switch out for white arms and red hands.
The legs come from Calendar Man. They work almost perfectly. You just have to switch the hips for red because the Calendar Man hips have a "7" on them.
