"After the death of Padmé Amidala, and during the chaotic years of the Empire, one of the former handmaiden of Naboo became distraught with grief. Seeking vengeance, she became the bounty hunter known as "The Handmaiden", and also known for continuing to wear the face paint of the royal house...

Her ship was known as the "Stingray" based on its modified apperance. Due to fuel shortages (as well as prior engine damage), she modified a Naboo N-1 starfighter into a "hybrid fighter" by adding the solar-arrays and Twin Ion Engines of the ubiquitous imperial TIE fighter. She also painted over most of the Naboo yellow with black and blood red paint."

I did an extreme mod to the C3 Corvette Stingray from the set 76903

Not only the hover parts, but I make the whole car more smooth, curvy and less square.

I also order some 3rd party roundbricks with included lights to make the reactors look more "alive"

After my wife’s funeral, I began working on the Stingray Project again. Without her help the process was slow, but a few months later me and the team I was given finished the newest suit. This suit was tested and as we promised Mister Benton before, could withstand great depths. Unfortunately there were a few things that we had to cut. These included the assisted swimming mechanism as well as a few minor things that were cut for budgeting. Considering those were not exactly necessary for the suit to work, we weren’t worried about cutting them. With the suit all painted and ready, we took it to Mister Benton.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
”So you tested this one?” Mister Benton said as he circled the suit, admiring it’s design.
”Yes, it was able withstand going over a thousand feet under water. This distance is greater than any human has ever gone without the aid of a submarine.”
”That’s fantastic. Good work here, I’ll be sure to bring this suit to the board for further approving.
”That sounds great.”
”You can go now. I’ll have someone call you back up when you’re needed.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One thing I should state for the record, the facility Advanced Idea Mechanics granted the team and I was built next to the coast of the Atlantic. This allowed us free reign of what we needed to do. Unfortunately, this also is where this story took another grave turn. Due to the quickness of the build, the supports weren’t exactly up to code. This was not known at the time, so what happened next was really quiet shocking .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(KABOOM!)
A loud sound sent me and my team into panic. We didn’t know what was going on. In an instant, one of our walls collapsed and gave way to a horrid view. I try to remain as calm as I can while I make sure my whole team gets out of the building. With seemingly everyone out of the building, I begin a head count.
”Is everyone here?” I say as I look around the group. ”Where’s Steve?”
“I think he’s still in the building.” A voice says from the team as I look back to see the entire building begin to sink into the water. I quickly run up the coast and to the main road. Luckily, the main building is stationed near our testing facility, otherwise I might not know what to do.
I enter the building and quickly make my way up flight after flight of stairs. Soon, I make it to Mister Benton’s office.
”What are you doing here?” He yells as I barge into the room.
”There’s no time!” I say as I quickly open up the Stingray suit and being to put it on.
”What are you doing with that suit?”
I say nothing. All I do is walk over to the window and point towards the crumbling building. Mister Benton quickly turns around to see that my facility is no longer where it was. He turns to me with a face of shock and horror. As he looks on I begin walking to the other side of his office.
”One of my men is in danger! I’m sorry, but you can take this out of my pay check!”
”Take what out o- Oh no!” I begin to run at the window. As I get close to the window I jump with my arms covering my head. An action mostly made redundant by the fact that I’m wearing a helmet.
Almost exactly like a cheesy action flick I break straight through the window. I press a button on my wrist and a pair of wings emerge from the back of my suit. Luckily, this design was one we kept on this model instead of waiting for the next model. Without it my actions would be completely for not.
Within seconds of me daringly jumping through my boss’s window, I find myself at the edge of the coast. My team gasps as they see me land.
“Walter?” One of them asks as I land. I motion back to them in affirmation as I begin running into the water. Once I get into deep enough waters, I dive down and begin searching for my lost colleague. Thankfully, the visor on this helmet allows me to see clearly in this water.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I searched for hours, but unfortunately I was not able to find Steve. About a week later, his body washed up on the shore and his death was ruled an accident. Though my team fought for further investigation, the judge said that because the supports on the building were not properly constructed, there would be no evidence strong enough to sway the outcome. That was wrong of the judge to assume that, but we’ll get to that later.

The peninsula is steep and hilly, and is largely covered in temperate rainforest. The Coromandel Range forms a spine for the peninsula rising to nearly 900 metres, and the large island of Great Barrier, which lies beyond the northern tip, can be thought of as an extension of the range. Great Barrier is separated from Cape Colville on the peninsula's northern coast by the Colville Channel.

Although the peninsula is close to large centres of population such as Auckland to the west and Tauranga to the southeast, its rugged nature means that much of it is relatively isolated, and the interior and northern tip are both largely undeveloped and sparsely inhabited. A forest park covers much of the peninsula's interior.

Numerous small islands and island groups lie offshore, such as the Motukawao Islands to the northwest, the Alderman Islands and Slipper Island to the southeast, and the Mercury Islands to the northeast.

The peninsula shows considerable signs of previous volcanism. It comprises the eroded remnants of the Coromandel Volcanic Zone, which was highly active during the Miocene and Pliocene periods. Volcanic activity has since primarily shifted southeast to the Taupo Volcanic Zone, although Mayor Island was recently active some 25 km to the east. The peninsula is also fairly close to the Auckland Volcanic Field, which exhibits a gentler style of volcanism. Geothermal activity is still present on the Peninsula, with hot springs in several places, notably at Hot Water Beach, in the central east coast between Whitianga and Tairua.

A stingray being bred in captivity at HoleInTheWall, Langkawi, Malaysia !

Their numbers are dwindling by the day due to them being a popular delicacy for natives and tourists alike.

HoleInTheWall, along with a couple of NGOs, breeds quite a number of fishes which are later released in the wild to increase numbers.

This particular stingray was quite agitated as some tourists were persistently trying to touch and play with it, and he sure wasn't in the mood. I was fascinated by his eye conveying the emotion perfectly.

The stingray is one of the more fascinating creatures in the sea. We had a chance to have an "encounter" with them at the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I've written a new article on how to effectively use a circular polarizer in this kind of setting to eleminate glare and get you "in there". You can read it here

An old photo of a Southern Stingray in Antigua & Barbuda. With the hurricane Irma and Jose passed and with the country working on a full recovery and normality on every aspect of life I hope it's reefs starts recovering also little by little and we are still able to contemplate this beauty that Mother Nature offers us. They need our help and if we start taking care of humanity, taking care of each other and taking care of nature we will all live in a wonderful and peaceful place and all of us will be able to enjoy it. Life is beautiful and we all have the same right of enjoying it so, please, be respectful and give some love.

Originally from East Asia, the Shiitake Fungi Stingray can now be commonly found throughout the world in all coastal tropical and subtropical marinated waters and in any menu of Asian cuisine restaurants.

His biggest predator is and have always been the Killer Sauté Pan.

The flattened bodies of shiitake stingrays allow them to effectively conceal themselves in the bottom of the fridge. They feed primarily on Shimeji Sea Sponges and Garlic Crabs.

As food, the Fungi Stingray is the most prized stingray of them all. Its meat is very aromatic and intense. Pairing very well with just about anything else that is edible.

Although they are not rare or even endemic the mere fact of them being absolutely delicious is a factor that can seriously contribute to the possible future endangerment of the species.

... I sure know I certainly contribute a lot to that...
