oil on board 16"x20", (based on the photo before this one but a less processed version)trying to branch out into different subject matter . . .meh, not entirely happy with it but i think i'll move on . ..
*edit* did replace with another pic but this one highlights that the paint was still extremely wet . . .guess I gotta wait for daylight to get a better pic :)
This photo turned out better than most of my moon photos, but I wanted it to turn out like www.flickr.com/photos/rowlespics/7001376212/in/photostream/
Kurt joined us for beer and weiners. It was lovely to see him. Keep his arm in your thoughts. Luckily it isn't his right arm...if you catch my drift *wink wink* :)
Well we felt like the paparazzi no doubt, about four us all taking photos of this young lady at the Italian Canadian Club in Kingston Ontario within our hour slot with the photo club. It was hard to get a photograph of her from the front (I am tall and with four with tripods it was kind of cramped) so I had to stand off to the side for many of my shots thus having the lighting bounce off her in ways that perhaps it should not if I were in a studio.
I have changed the backdrop in PSE only because I am trying to learn how to use it as well. Got my background from Ezbackgrounds.
Another Yousuf Karsh I won't become overnight let me tell you but, nonetheless, I did have fun taking portraits and photos of glass as well.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. I hope you all know that I appreciate your comments however, awards and invites aren't necessary.

So the girls have a special blanket - seen here in this and the next shot. It is one of two dog blankets - I am not sure what happened to the other one. And I use it on the bed to protect my quilts from their nails, hair and from dirt. Well, when the folks took my bed and all my bedding - this went with it and I just got it back on the bed this morning. I came home after some appts and Stella greeted me at the door but Harley couldn't even be bothered to get off the bed. Tonight....they have been all snuggled up on it. I think that this is the key. Yay. Happy dogs are good things :)
Finally got to meet Amber. She is lovely :) Although she has cooties and was sharing them liberally, if you catch my drift *wink wink*

I was trying to frame a shot with the close-up filter again and didn't get my hand out of the way in time, which caused the jam. When I realized that the developing paste hadn't been properly rolled out from the pouches below the frame, I started squishing it out by hand to see what would happen. Looks like burnt/roasted marshmallows to me. :)
Practicing "sit" and Reese thought it was a good idea to actually sit on my daisies. 🐶🌼🐶🌼 #rescuedog #dogsofinstagram #dogtraining #puppygram #stilllearning
rbrwr was kind enough to give me a b&w development lesson today, and here is one of the results. Since I don't yet have a suitable scanner, this is what I got from scanning the neg with an hp flatbed scanner and then inverting in GIMP.
This is my first SX-70 picture, ever. I've worked with digital ever since getting into photography more as a hobby, so using this film camera is quite a learning experience!
For instance, the blur is caused by the fact that I was accidentally covering up the electronic eye of the SX-70 with my hand while I was trying to hold up a close-up filter in front of the lens. Ooops...
Day 61 I know it says its taken day 60 but I had the date set wrong!!! I swear!
I look sexay behind that NIKON baby!
Pushed the exposure 1.00 - 2.00 in Lightroom
My second roll of self-developed b&w film. (Although, my first to do it all by myself and also first roll to try pushing). Everything for the most part went well, but shots came out almost underexposed. I didn't have the exact times to push 320TXP 2 stops in D-76 (1:1) and I also shot it at ISO 1000 instead of ISO 1250. So I kind of just estimated (17'51). I guess it wasn't long enough?
Maybe I shouldn't have done so much, so early. I still have a lot to learn.
Anyways here are the details. Any advice would be great!
Kodak 320TXP (expired) @ ISO 1000
D-76 (1:1) @ 17'51

#Pleiades is a bright star cluster visible to the naked eye and so it is often seen as a beginner astrophotography subject. But it's actually quite challenging to image well. I keep trying to bring out the blue nebulosity between the stars and I still haven't gotten it to where I want it. But I thought this image was interesting because of #Mars at the bottom. The spikes are from the lens diaphragm. #StillLearning
