From Pin Mill at High tide we walked up to the Cliff Plantation forest, catching glimpses of the Orwell as we walked. Deeper into the forest we saw sunlight through trees lighting up leaves in autumn colours and a variety of fungi in the shadowy undergrowth. We walked through then around the edge of the forest making our way down to the edge of the Orwell and then back up along the cliff top path until we came to the steps down towards the houseboat community. Some are living in what were abandoned wrecks of traditional vessels, some such vessels are just abandoned.

[Shot with an Apple iPhone 5s as I forgot my Nokia phone at home!]
Steps to an observation area above the beach, Lake Michigan National Recreation Area. This is located near Manistee, Michigan. What a beautiful area...I recommend it for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
My first time working with lace, using McCalls 6505.
I added quite a few couture touches, including appliqué seams, covered snaps, waist stay and a handpicked zipper!
I've included my own steps (due to the couture techniques) in my blog post www.queenofdarts.com/2015/08/lace-dress.html
Taken after our blizzard of March 2006, these snow-covered steps on our neighbor's, remind me of a giant keyboard.
A George Gilbert Scott mid-Victorian staircase - with a few modern touches - ascending through the former Midland Grand Hotel to the main platform level of London's St Pancras International Station beyond.
Taken late night in London, England on February 3, 2009.
One of the worst sections of the famous "steps" heading off of Black Bear Pass. Note the scale of the trees just above the trail. 4x4 vehicles are especially carefull here so they don't start bouncing and lose control prior to the turn to the right. The trail is the lighter gray section of terrain. Telluride is in the valley below. Look "black bear steps" on youtube. it looks like driving down the ramp in a parkin garage until you see someone drive down it. Toyota had their "FJ Summit" at nearby Ouray the same week. I wish had been able to see them when they came through here.
