Visitors to the Goodman South Madison Library on April 5, 2014, were able to spend their mornings having fun exercising their minds at the Navigant STEM Fair. Kids and their families had the opportunity to investigate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, thanks to volunteers from Navigant, who organized and ran the fair in partnership with the library. Activities included exploring MG&E’s Pedal Power Generator, a Lego Robotics demonstration, the “Science of Goo”, dissecting an owl pellet, creating a battery using food, an an electricity demonstration. From July 29 - Aug 2, ASAS Chicago hosted STEM CampUs at Illinois Institute of Technology. Sponsored by Teza Technologies, STEM CampUs focused on high school, college and career readiness, with a specific focus on entrepreneurship and the STEM fields.

Two STEM Expos were held in October 2015 for the K-12 students of Galena Park and Pasadena, Texas, through partnership with Communities In Schools. The events were supported by funding from an American Chemical Society grant.

 

So far the cold weather keeps the sun from melting the chrystals.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (September 12, 2015) -- Aberdeen Proving Ground hosts the 5th annual STEM in Scouting Day on behalf of Team APG STEM.

 

STEM in Scouting Day at APG began as a pioneering youth STEM event in 2011. What began as a Boy Scout merit badge day 2011, expanded in 2013 to be the largest scouting STEM event of its kind in the nation held on a military installation.

NOTE - Nitto in Japan responded to my email in one day and sent me a replacement stem overnight. This was the best response I've ever seen form a bike component manufacturer!

I sent an email to Nitto in Japan with pictures of the stem. They responded the very next day and I received a replacement stem a few days later. The package contained prepaid shipping to return the defective stem.

 

Nitto is a class operation!

The School of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Penn State Harrisburg hosted a STEM Program for high school juniors and seniors.

My favorite flower/baby stuff/gift shop. Maxine Siu of Stem also did the flowers for our wedding.

Twenty-five students from the Milton Hershey School spent the day at Penn State Health, who teamed up with the American Heart Association and Centric Bank to host the first regional STEM Goes Red event, the aim of which was to empower young women to improve heart and brain health through pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
