This is the stem of a flower given to my daughter as part of the Daddy/Daughter Date Night last weekend.
A woody plant has wood as its structural tissue. Woody plants are usually trees, shrubs, or lianas. A woody stem is hard textured and also has a secondary xylem. This tree trunk is woody stem due to its texture and age.
Teachers practice cooperative learning and problem solving with as they build robots. Workshop preented in Spotsylvania County by the STEM Education Alliance at the College of William and Mary

The bar also has lasts on it. Yes, the restaurant/bar occupies a building that once made footwear. Presumably the owner used to be a hairdresser.

Stems. This flower arrangement was given to us by the lovely people upstairs when they decamped for an extended vacation. I expect they'll want the vase back, but I'm enjoying it in the meantime. TMY400, Hasselblad 501C, 16mm extension tube.

This workshop aims to arouse students' interests in STEM. IBM engineers delivered an inspirational talk - Engineering Everything to 200 F2 students. They also guided students in the problem-solving activity, boomerang DIY. Both students and volunteers had a great fun!!
