ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – USACE South Pacific Division Commander Brig. Gen. Mark Toy presents Jarek Kwiecinski a certificate recognizing his achievement in this year’s Central New Mexico Science and Engineering Research Challenge, held March 12-14 at the University of New Mexico. Kwiecinski placed first in the Senior Division – Environmental category. The Challenge is part of Intel’s International Science and Engineering Fair’s (Intel ISEF) Research Challenges which is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. More than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for more than $5 million in prizes.
Hosted by Oberlin College’s Black Scientists Guild and the Black History Month Committee, STEM in Color highlighted the academic and career journeys of black professionals, alumni, and current students in STEM fields.

From July 29 - Aug 2, ASAS Chicago hosted STEM CampUs at Illinois Institute of Technology. Sponsored by Teza Technologies, STEM CampUs focused on high school, college and career readiness, with a specific focus on entrepreneurship and the STEM fields.
