Unfortunately, due to the weight of the flowers of the broken leg ... I do not know how long it will live in a vase (I confirmed the two virágszárat wand that we can do it in water), and therefore miss much (hung). Very grateful little flower ... I got for my birthday two years ago and since then, it was the fourth gorgeous blooms ...

The stem of one Swarovski Crystal wine glass resting on the bowl of another.

I received these beautiful glasses as a gift and thought that, since they were so striking, they'd be a breeze to shoot. I underestimated just how hard it was to get the crystals to sparkle without having any reflections show up in the glass. This was the best shot from a very long night :)

Maj. Brian Holloway, physics instructor and Army engineer, applied the principles of electricity and magnetism in a variety of “science tricks,” including the ever-popular and hair-raising Van de Graaff generator. The large electrostatic ball aptly shows how an electric field comes from static charges, whereas other demonstrations showed how a magnetic field derives from moving charges. The Center for STEM Education hosted the 3rd annual West Point Middle School STEM Workshop May 29-June 1, with 110 students throughout the nation participating in this hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Chargé d’Affairs Joel Reifman congratulated Bangladeshi STEM students who recently participated in a number of robotic and social media competitions at a reception event at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence. The reception was organized by the American Center Dhaka to honor participants including Bangladeshi Mars Rover teams from six different universities, the Robot Olympiad’s high school team, and Dhaka University’s team attending Peer 2 Peer (P2P): Facebook Global Digital Challenge in the USA.

NAS Oceana and the Virginia Beach City Public School (VBCPS) system have once again partnered to provide every fifth-grader enrolled in Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) the opportunity to take a one-of-kind field trip to Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Friday, Sept. 15. The special Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Lab Day, was part of the annual Air Show. This event is being provided free of cost for all students and every child had a chance to take part in hands-on activities and learn about STEM careers in a real-world setting. This included displays and exhibits from NASA Langley, the Office of Naval Research and Naval Research Laboratory, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Wesleyen University, Engineering for Kids, Old Dominion University, Landstown High School, Navy history and heritage command, U.S. Naval research laboratory and Virginia Department of Transportation.

"Stem"

Week 39

This week's challenge was "abstract." I'm not sure if this photo is abstract or not, but it's not the type of photo I'd normally take. I would normally try and keep more of the flower in focus to show more detail. I have been meaning to photograph these flowers all summer long, but I am just not getting around to it.

French beaded light blue moss rose stem

Height: approximately 10"

These flowers were made using the French beading technique. Tiny seed beads are strung onto flexible wire and shaped into various flower components. These parts are then crafted to make a flower and then tape and embroidery floss are wrapped around the stem to give them a silky finish.

these plants have broad leaves close to the ground and tough, woody stems similar to chamomile that bear tiny blue and white flowers. they frequently grow in sandy areas near streams.

join team atwood and help preserve literacy in toronto while pointing out to rob ford and his sycophantic shitheads at city hall that libraries are important and deserve funding. online petition here, which i signed and added this comment to:

Rob Fraud and the rest of these moronic reactionary fools are prime examples of the reason why we should be investing in more and broader forms of education and not closing libraries. A learned population would not vote for these hateful imbeciles in the first place.

At a special launch event for US2020, this fall Cisco invited 60 middle school girls from San Jose, California to visit Cisco’s Silicon Valley campus. Working with TechBridge, an afterschool program designed to empower girls to realize their dreams though science, technology and engineering, Cisco volunteers worked side by side with students building, creating and sharing their enthusiasm for technology. Smiles and laughter filled the room as projects rolled off the tables and mentors shared helpful tricks and tips for solving some of math’s most challenging equations.
