New style stems allow for little height adjustment so I got this extension piece to raise my handlebars higher.

Workers remove stems from tobacco leaves in a factory in this Raines and Cox image. The Wilson Times is publishing historical photos of Wilson County life and landmarks in this space each day. To share your snapshots, email the picture and caption to Lori Parrish at lori@wilsontimes.com with the subject line Remember When or bring it to the Times office at 2001 Downing St. SW during regular business hours.
This was rough getting the stems stitched together. There is tremendous stress here. I used more tumblehome than the plans called for. I patterned my stems from Grant's original stem pattern from "Virginia". Grant later modified his stem design to have not as much tumblehome

Last week while identifying some plants for lab, I saw this tree infested with galls. Steam galls are an example of parasitoidism; an insect (in this case a gall wasp or a plany lice) lays its eggs in the steam of the tree. the larvae fed on the tree causing causes the secretion of growth hormones by the plant. The growth hormones cause localized plant growth that results in an increase in cell size or cell number. Once the gall formation begins it will continue until it's completly done. Usually the mature tissue of the tree wont be affected by the gall, however the a young plant would have trouble growing.

Shots 2, 3,4 given by VON nurse at home. Back to hospital day after shot 4 for shot 5 and stem cell collection.
Maj. Brian Holloway, physics instructor and Army engineer, applied the principles of electricity and magnetism in a variety of “science tricks,” including the ever-popular and hair-raising Van de Graaff generator. The large electrostatic ball aptly shows how an electric field comes from static charges, whereas other demonstrations showed how a magnetic field derives from moving charges. The Center for STEM Education hosted the 3rd annual West Point Middle School STEM Workshop May 29-June 1, with 110 students throughout the nation participating in this hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Stem cells are important for living organisms for many reasons. stem cells offer new potentials for treating diseases such as diabetes, and heart disease.
Quite nice bars and stem. The most popular thistle badge is pop-rivetted on. Universal Super 68 front brake. Not sure of the make of levers.
Gravity holds the steerer clamp in place on a much longer piece of extension tube while I tack this joint. After brazing and a partial finish, the extension is mitered at the proper length and phase relative to the steerer axis.
Those are common M5 rack boss pieces, which I carve deeply so that the bolt just skims the clamp OD. After these are brazed to the bit of tube that will become the bar clamp, this all is loaded onto the stem fixture.

Stem Cell Panama at Stem Cells And Regenerative Medicine is focused on the applied research of regenerative medicine, being specialized in the use of stem cell therapies. Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine continues research and treatment can improve the quality of patients lives, when suffering from certain diseases.
