Inquiry Statement: What does photography reveal about the importance, beauty, and ever-presence of mathematics?
Weakness: Over-editing - I want to take photos that look better straight out of camera to save time and minimize steps.

Idea:
When I was on vacation I happened to come across the interesting way this shop's roof curved around a corner in steps on the outside, but had a smooth round arc on the support holding it up. It reminded me of the concept of "radius of curvature" in calculus, which tells you how big a circle would need to be in order to match the tightness of a function's turning. The title is a formula to compute that value based on knowing the tangent line.
Process:
When standing on the street corner, I pointed the camera straight up to take the photo, making sure I was evenly centered because taking just a second to move over can save hours of frustrating perspective corrections. I still ended up having to take time adjusting the highlights and shadows sliders though since the roof has a very different value from the sky. The airplane contrail was originally in a different place of the image and not at all a planned element, but I decided to move it over so it represents a line parallel to that portion of the curve (aka a tangent line), which is what the formula in the title is based off of.
