Was out for a walk today and saw the wall of statements posters were up already. Officially opens on Tuesday. You'd defiantly need to go and have a look at them in person.

In my current project I chose to study the term ‘Nature’.
I decided to research into this term because it is something that can be found around us at all times, whether its the wildlife taking over forests or the changing weather patterns that form in the sky.
As I began to research into the term ‘Nature’ I began to find different areas in which Nature linked to, for example the way a storm travels and past natural disasters and how they occurred. The most recent research I collected from both books and the internet was the worst volcanic eruption that has been recorded in Italy which was the Pompeii disaster.
I wanted this project to be unusual not only based around the foliage or bugs which can be found in a back garden.
For each stage of this project I will create a 3D piece which will be supported by photographic evidence to show my development and understanding over the past few days work, also making sure to show the making process and including all the techniques and processes which I have learnt.
I will continue to develop my research for this project showing my understanding and knowledge between both the research and the original term which sparked the beginning of the project.
To bring this project to a close my plan is to create a small collection of different pieces which show both the techniques and processes I have explored throughout the project, using materials such as including papers and wood.
Artist Statement
The Weight of Waiting exists in the suspended moment between devotion and doubt.
The figures are dancers, but not performing. They are disciplined bodies at rest—trained to endure stillness as much as motion. Their gaze is lifted, not in hope alone, but in quiet negotiation with whatever governs the sky above them. The red spheres hover like unanswered questions: desire, sacrifice, consequence. They are beautiful, heavy, and unavoidable.
The birds move freely through this space, unaware of gravity’s agreements. They represent instinct—what escapes us when we choose precision over freedom, obedience over impulse.
This work is about the cost of refinement. About how often we are taught to wait gracefully while carrying invisible weight. It is not a lament, but an acknowledgment: stillness can be an act of strength, and patience can bruise.
I want the viewer to feel both reverence and unease—to recognize themselves in the pause, just before something changes.
