This was from my 1st startrail attempt that I tried last year @Joshua tree NP, CA.. It was a total failure.. thought of sharing just like that..
And a wee snippet of secret location A, met up with my mate James tonight, his new camera was delivered today and we decided to give it a birth of fire for it's first shot.Check his shot out here>{www.flickr.com/photos/67765443@N06/6884600874/in/photostream}, The cottage is in a superb location scouted by James a few weeks ago, I'll apologize now if it appears in my stream rather alot over the next few weeks. That's if the walk up to it doesn't bring on a heart attack :))) Its an absolute cracking location even though I only saw it in the dark it has lots of potential.
Thanks for stopping by and view this photo. The reason for posting this photo on Flickr is to learn so if you have constructive feedback regarding what I could do better and / or what I should try, drop me a note I would love to hear your input.

Startrails mit einer Sternschnuppe und 6 Flugzeugen - Startrails with a shooting star and 6 planes
Last night I was imaging for 8 solid hours, hoping to pick up some Draconid Meteors. I took almost 4,000 images overnight, but this morning when I reviewed them I realised my dew heater had failed (the wire had come right out of one of the connectors). So I lost 7 out of 8 hours of imaging, so I'm pretty gutted. I did manage to stack 45 minutes worth of images shot during the first hour, before dew took over.
Taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens. ISO-1600 for 8 seconds (because I was trying to capture meteors rather than star trails), 306 images stacked using StarStaX
Same old shot from my back yard was very very clear so i could resist
Caught a very bright Meteor in shot 3 other but very faint need to view original to see them

Here is a quick 1080 timelapse of all the images used to create my startrails photograph at Llangelynin Church. The flashing light on the church is me using my led light on my phone to light paint it. I've since realised you only need to light paint the last image of the sequence to light any building/structure. Live and learn as they say :)
