Startrails and some faint aurora! It was cold standing outside for half an hour, but I think it was worth it!

This photo was taken on Thursday October 18 after moonset next Al-Ahsaa in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.

I used Nikon 10.5 mm Fisheye on F/2.8 for 2 hours and 40 minutes. 320 photos were combined to create this shot. Each shot was exposed for 30 seconds and ISO 400. The photos were combined using teh software Star Trails 1.1 (http://www.startrails.de).

Tent was illuminated form inside and the blue light from the right is the reflection of some cars passing by and light was diffused on the humid air

Just over one hours worth of star trails, shot from Newtownards, County Down NI. Taking advantage of a brief lull in the incessant rain! Saturation has been increased to bring out star colour.

Hármashatár-hegy (well-known as "HHH") is a mountain in the city of Budapest, Hungary. Its name comes from the fact that the borders of 3 cities (Buda, Óbuda and Pesthidegkút) met at this point in the 19th century. Today these cities have merged into Budapest but the name of the mountain remained unchanged. The top of the mountain is located at 496 meters above sea level where a lookout tower was built in 2015-2016. After one year of the tower opening, it has become a popular tour destination of the residents of Budapest.

Taken from Oxfordshire, UK on the night of the peak of the Draconids Meteor Shower. I was imaging for almost 5 solid hours and didn't detect a single meteor in that time. There were periods when clouds came through the field of view so this is just 2 hours 15 minutes worth of images stacked.

Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens, ISO-800 for 20 seconds at f3/5. An almost 80% Waxing Gibbous Moon was really bleaching the sky so the fainter stars were lost. Images stacked using StarStaX then processed in Fast Stone Image Viewer. The camera was set up next to my telescope pier so the tree was illuminated by my laptop screen as I was out imaging the Moon at the same time with my ASI120MC camera

Four hours of Earth's rotation with aurora. Taken with a 15mm fish eye lens. We spin at 1600kms per hour. No wonder the days seem to go by so fast!

I posted a single image of this scene a while back, from a timelapse sequence. I decided to try startrails for the first time. This is Lake Superior near the Porcupine Mountains,MI.

Cathedral Peak, Yosemite National Park, Ca.

After a nice afternoon thunder storm the skies cleared up almost immediately by dusk. Perfect for some startrails. Unfortunately the North Star was off to far to the left from Cathedral Peak (which is what I wanted in the image). The light glow on the horizon is NOT lights from Owens Valley - it's the near full super Moon rising (here it was still at least an hour away from rising).
