[19 images (each one 18mm, f3.5, 30sec, ISO200) combined with startrails]

Sadly clouds came in 15 mins into the exposures so not that many stars turned out. 60 x 30 second exposures.

This image shows a startrail over the Calatrava bridge situated in the city of Cosenza, Italy.

Primo esperimento di Startrail :-)

dark frame subtracted using UFRaw. I don't like what it did to my exposure. The color seems strange.

photolapse3 was used to make an avi from the jpegs. it was compressed with handbrake prior to upload

Time to get back out under the stars. About 2hrs of earth's rotation, with one big fish jump resulting in ripples distorting the refleftion of the stars for a bit during the shoot. Fun times!

After spending numerous nights with hubby on star trail outings, I finally have one of my own to post. It was a bit too dewey that night at the lake so we decided to set up in the backyard. The lights from the neighbours lit the tops of the trees giving an eerie glow. I also discovered a smudge on my lens:-{

Trying to figure out what to do with the 85 pics I took to get my startrails shot. So I decided to put them together in a cheesy video, and add some cheesy music too. Did I mention it's cheesy. My first and second attempts at this type of shot.

Please feel free to tell me how cheesy it is !

30 second exposures stacked. Shot at 18mm.

Startrails above Sheffield

My attempt at image stacking.

Taken on 6th August 2011 from Timberline Lodge car park. It was taken during a public star party. The star trail was slightly flaw due to someone accidentally kick on the tripod.
