(In case you’re wondering, I think it’s just a hunk of mud flying above the saddle.)

happy monday everyone!

After very good luck with the weather on our trip (Vienna doesn't count) it finally started to rain

Not enough seats, but the steps to the decks are great to hang out on~

Lunch after the 50th anniversary church service down in Kyushu, Kurume. Grandparents started the church back in the 60s and this resulted in a great occasion for old time friends and acquaintances to get together.

Each morning, a new beginning. Dew drops on the grass, washing away the last day's woes. Peek off into the future of what goodness the next hours may bring. Focused. Prepared. And ready. Venture forth!

Seeing all that freshly chopped wood laying around I remembered that Mandala Monday was coming up so I grabbed up a bunch and started to work. The pumpkin lends a "flame" effect to it ;-)

I don't know this man's name, but he's been performing on Pearl Street since I was a wee lad. His routine has barely changed, but I still like it. I still can't figure how he stretches himself like this.

i can see why the field of pinhole sports photography never took off...

What do a major company CEO, a middle level manager in a corporation, a small business owner and an entrepreneur of a start-up all have in common? That, at the end of the day, business success or failure for each is defined by the results they deliver, both top line and bottom line.

Work took me to Norwich a week ago. I met up with a couple of fellow flickrites for an evening meal. On a nearby table was a family including this young lady who was taking great delight in taking photos of the people around her.

The start in the neck is a bit akward, the rest is ok :-) I'll just fold the bit at the neck, like here, then nobody will notice.

Put the pattern together myself... just combined some stiches :-)

why a starting pistol with the shape of revolver is still used in something as peaceful as athletics?

Yesterday the tire flew off my minibus, I cut the head off a pit viper and I was banned from a commercial flight by associating with a narco-trafficker. Today I am bushwhacking through the jungle in the remote trail-less backwaters of Guyana, waist deep in water and praying to make it through the rest of the day alive. What will tomorrow bring? God only knows. The adventure starts here- pbertner.wordpress.com/.

Start & Finish van de Vrije Toertochten en Recreatieochten

Begin by developing sketches that focus on composition rather than tiny details. Details can always be added in later - I like to leave some decision-making for the actual drawing itself. Reference photos are appropriate, since this is a self portrait - but avoid being totally influenced by the photography...it's important that you, as the artist, make artistic decisions as you develop your artwork.

'Fashion victim'

TV commercial (15 sec.) for Laforet Harajuku’s Grand Bazar

The annual 'Grand Bazar' at Laforet, Harajuku's big fashion store is a real event. Young fashion addicts from Tokyo and the surroundings are starting to queue early in the morning.

Despite its overwhelming chaos and unimaginable noise, the 'Grand Bazar' is a sensual experience. This attraction to the Bazar is expressed by the innocent white woman, who is following her instincts and thus 'getting dressed'.

I don't really use a planner so this will be more like a journal. On each day of the weekly pages I intend to write the best thing that happened that day.

Used a 3-ring binder from 1972 - decided to NOT embellish it because I like it just the way it is. It has all of the original dividers, etc. I do plan to add to the dividers.

So far I have printed the monthly/weekly calendar pages, some unlabeled lists, and Dare2Be/List 10 pages, painted reinforcement rings, started working on the January divider, started my "Global" To-do list, made some calendar entries, and made my Week 1 PAC* (with 16 half-circle reinforcements).

* I've used my cat stamp multiple times this year already. I can't help it. I've already got several other places I plan to use it...to the point that people will think I'm a one-trick pony and have only one rubber stamp. :)
