babyblogandme: Oh and I just looked on your blog: my mom did the colour run and absolutely loved it!! She's done so many of these different runs but really looked forward to this one. She then roped me in to do wolf run which is a 10k obstacle course. It was AMAZING xx

The AIB Start Up Academy visits Cork for the 2nd in our series of start up nights. Sean O'Sullivan and Graham Clarke were speakers on the night with pitches from 3 new Irish Start Ups. The event is held in association with The Irish Times.
I got a late start planting because I had to wait 'til a city compost giveaway in early Nov. Then I started with seeds instead of starts (except for the two donated lettuce you see). My plot is far behind most of the ones surrounding it.
This day I planted 5 snow pea starts and the most alive-looking of the 6 rhubarb starts I bought.
Connecting with Nature - Gills Club
Started by shark scientists Dr Diana Pazmiño, the Gills Club aims to engage more girls in shark science, as part of our wider Galapagos Ocean Outreach goal to empower young people to generate and deliver conservation and sustainability projects.
Girls at Gills Club are given opportunities to see wildlife which they would otherwise not encounter and gain scientific skills, self-confidence and passion for protecting the wildlife of their Islands, led by their female mentors.

Este proyecto busca incentivar a las niñas a involucrarse en la ciencia y la investigación, para ello participan en salidas de campo y otras actividades.
I first started photographing graffiti in 1999, and in 2000 I setup a website to share my photos. Initially a mix of different subjects, but it soon became almost entirely of graffiti. I uploaded over 6000 photos to this site. Eventually Flickr came along a few years later and I started using that instead, and stopped updating the website. I shut it down completely a few years ago.
I occasionally get requests from people for photos of pieces by specific graffiti writers, and I thought it might be a good idea to upload them all to Flickr.
Most of these photos were taken on film, scanned, and saved at a small size, back in the day when people were still using 56k modems to connect to the internet and small filesizes were desirable. So apologies for the quality and size for some of these. Someday I'd like to get them all scanned in again at a higher resolution.

Chinese people are usually very courteous about asking Tia if they can take a picture of her. They usually respect her decision (no more often than yes!). However one evening while waiting to meet friends on Wangfujing, people started to take pictures of us. Tia did get upset at the beginning of this. Celebrity!
When I drove to work today I didn’t know what my day was going to be like. I am turning in my resignation today and they might tell me to leave now. As it turned out they didn’t and I have the rest of the week to work here. After three years plus I am ready to leave. I could go into details but I won’t.
I also thought this would be a good time to get back here and join in. When I started on flickr I started a 365. So here I go again .
