Made these little guys with help from Grandma's unused button collection and some spare time on my hands!
The star bokeh effect in the background was done by taping black card with a 2cm star cut in it, to the front of my f1.8 lens.
I had fun playing with the star bokeh technique! If you look closely, you can see that the sparkles on the out-of-focus antler are star-shaped, too! Yay!
i'm looking into a study tour in england, or possibly what my options are to teach over there after i graduate. it's been something i've been thinking about a lot lately, and i've always wanted to go. for some reason, my 20th birthday was a big eye opener--why not get what i want, right?
happy bokeh wednesday! :D
I just love the orange glow that comes out of these old windows down at the steal mill... Of course it was raining again, story of our life right now...
Hope everyone's week is going well..

Bokeh Wednesday
day 135
I cut out a 58mm circle with a star in the middle and stuck it between my lens and filter. It makes for a very lomo-esque result, especially since I can't MF to save my life.
Experiment - Make star shaped bokeh.
This was a lot of fun. I took some black art paper, cut it out into a circle to cover the lens and punched the middle of the circle with a star shaped hole punch. Hold it over the lens and...Voila! Star shaped bokeh!
LOVE Christmas!! Put the decs up last night, the kids were so excited when they came downstairs this morning and we told them the Christmas Elves had been...! We don't have many traditions, but putting the tree up is definitely one of them!

Nice glass of Red by the Christmas tree lights and some custom bokeh. Amazing what a bit of cardboard and some scissors can do.

I was into the idea and not into the results, but alas my desire to veg out won over my desire to color correct.
Day 6
Wild Flag played the Grey Eagle in Asheville, North Carolina on March 23, 2011. I was shooting with a Lensbaby Control Freak and a star bokeh filter.
I've put together a dozen or so shaped cut outs so I can play with the shaped bokeh, this is street lights near work. More shapes to come!
