Out for a walk with the kids at half term and this was the only shot i took! it was a lovely stream flowing over grass and it reminded me of an massive Andy Goldsworth print we have at work which had objects placed in the water delicately drawing you eye through the scene - but that's his shot not mine!
anyway, just managed to get the light meter out and press the shutter release before i had to dash off. i'm quite pleased i didn't spend too much time as i often find the first exposure is the best of the bunch. and anyway the stream will be there for years to come for a repeat visit

Washing soda and vitamin C dissolved on the left, and instant coffee dissolved on the right. I think I left salt out this time, so maybe a bit bland in taste, lol, but no fogging.
I also picked up a nifty-fifty for my Yashica 230-AF, which my sister had given me many years ago. The lens happened to come with another 230-AF, so now I have two. I also have a 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5, and it's great, too.

This was initially a lens test. I have a nice old Meyer-Optik Lydith 30mm lens that someone has previously tampered with – it won't focus beyond 2-3 meters. The open gate in this photo is barely in focus.
But this view:
To someone it can seem totally uninteresting. After all it's just a messy, empty plot of wasteland – or is it? And furthermore, does this photo of it provide any visually meaningful content or is it just waste?

Got the shutter curtain replaced on my Leica IIIf, so no more pinhole light leaks. The Summitar was also cleaned, so everything is good!

Testing an Argus A2B, a thrift store find and gift from my friend and co-worker, Jason.
The A2B is a focus free camera. I loaded some Arista 200 and shot all photos at 1/200th just to be safe, because that speed seemed to be the most reliable, then I just adjusted my aperture based on Sunny 16 rules.
