Some of the Ivansson brother's collected car wrecks. Around 1000 of them scattered in the forest on their property in the western part of Värmland, Sweden. Just a few km's from the border with Norway.
Many of the cars were bought in the late 40's and early 50's from Central Europe, being left by American soldiers turning back home.
And even more 60's and 70's cars rest here.
This one's special. The birch tree entered the open left driver's door, continued through the front part of the car and breached through the closed window of the passenger side. And then went right up to heaven. Nothing will resist the force of nature.
In the background the house where the Ivansson brothers lived. True vagabonds, both of them. Their scrap metal business ended in the 90's and now both of them are dead.

I am a Bactrian Camel
oh yes, I'll have you know
my weight is borne equally
on my third and fourth toes
I am an even-toed ungulate
or so the story goes
I am far superior to
the one-humped dromedary
I'm from ancient Bactria;
I'm kind and soft and hairy
my fur is like a teddy bear,

climbing up high mountains;
cold; carrying their heavy load
or moving across inhospitable deserts;

Origin:
Finn was a marine biologist who studied many endangered shark species', with his abilities he was able to communicate and live with the sea creatures. For years he never resurfaced the water, leaving his life behind and living with the creatures who became his family and the ocean his home. Finn discovered that his home was suffering from other humans who threatened the environment and their way of life. It was from then on he used his abilities to get back at mankind for destroying his home. He used to attack those who attended the beach, fish and those near the sea, thus getting the name "Sharkattack". But now he's upped his game and dawned a new shark-themed suit to terrorise the surface dwellers and attempts to submerge the land into the ocean so his brethren can make a new home, despite killing the millions of civilians who live in Atlas City.

Key Weakness: His great fear of fire, the mention of it alone makes him panic.
Origin:
Orœ was once a notorious space pirate Captain who was so ruthless and cunning he had bounty hunters on the run. His rage and fury was enough to put fear equally into the hearts of both his foes and his crew alike. However, on one fateful sunrise a newly recruited pirate displayed his fire breathing abilities sending Orœ into a petrified state making him terrified to the core. This display of weakness caused his own crew to question his role as Captain and they staged a mutiny whilst he slumbered. Orœ wasn't letting his story end like that though, betrayed and killed by his own crew. He slaughtered them all by himself, he wasn't feared for nothing. During the battle however his trusty ship was damaged and he was forced to land it on the closest hospitable planet which orbited a sun so he could survive. The crash cost him his arm but not his life, from that night onwards Orœ was no longer a captain. As what is a Captain without a crew?
Orœ now goes by the alias Mutiny, as a reminder of how misplaced trust can cost a man. He also was able to steal the available tech from various sources on Earth to build himself a replacement arm. Mutiny is currently searching Earth for a purpose but thus far has only found trouble with local heroes due to his mannerism and appearance not exactly being law abiding.

The girls had a girlie morning getting some henna done, so us boys went to the woods. The boys took their bikes; I took a belligerent whippet. We then went for pasties. Had a great morning.
The kids then fought in lumps for the rest of the day.

Somewhat different the rest of my feed, but an amazing shoot yesterday with a ballet dancer friend of ours. Most of the shoot was a learning curve with a flashgun and my other half standing on a chair, but at the end I let the 85mm 1.2 do what it does best...

The Camargue is a traditional French breed of working horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. Its origins are unknown. For centuries, possibly thousands of years, these small horses have lived wild in the harsh environment of the Camargue marshes and wetlands of the Rhône delta, which covers part of the départements of Gard and Bouches-du-Rhône. There they developed the stamina, hardiness and agility for which they are known today. Traditionally, they live in semi-feral conditions in the marshy land of the region. The Camargue horse is the traditional mount of the gardians, the Camargue riders who herd the black Camargue bulls used for courses camarguaises in southern France.
