South Stack is famous as the location of one of Wales' most spectacular lighthouses, South Stack Lighthouse. It has a height of 41 metres (135 feet). It has a maximum area of 7 acres.
Until 1828 when an iron suspension bridge was built, the only means of crossing the deep water channel on to the island was in a basket which was suspended on a hemp cable. The suspension bridge was replaced in 1964, but by 1983 the bridge had to be closed to the public, due to safety reasons. A new aluminium bridge was built and the lighthouse was reopened for public visits in 1997. Thousands of people flock to the lighthouse every year, thanks to the continued public transport service from Holyhead's town centre.
There are over 400 stone steps down to the footbridge (and not, as local legend suggests, 365), and the descent and ascent provide an opportunity to see some of the 4,000 nesting birds that line the cliffs during the breeding season. The cliffs are part of the RSPB South Stack Cliffs bird reserve, based at Elin's Tower.
The Anglesey Coastal Path passes South Stack, as does the Cybi Circular Walk. The latter has long and short variants; the short walk is 4 miles long and takes around two hours to complete. Travelling from the Breakwater Country Park, other sites along the way are the North Stack Fog Signal station, Caer y Tŵr, Holyhead Mountain and Tŷ Mawr Hut Circles.

I decided on the black and white dotted fabric and then plain white for the alternate blocks to lighten the look.

A massive stack of Bawls cans and Dominos pizza boxes tower above the line during the wait to get into the BYOC from the FCFS line.
PS: I'm at the BYOC - far right side of C4 near the MAME Cabinet if anyone wants to drop by and say "o hi".
A stack of chairs outside Mortons on Byres Road. Mortons is a fantastic little cafe and its pretty cheap too - if they scrapped the expensive wifi it would be perfect for my pre-lecture coffee.

Winter Beach Trip Journal: I'm attempting to take some different photos on this trip.
Inspired by Auntie P., these plastic cafe chairs (in Christmas colors) are stacked in a row.

This was taken from a footbridge in the High Line Park in NYC.
The steward was ushering people on so as not to clog up the gangway, but the view of this car park was on one side and a panoramic view of the High Line was on the other so photographers weren't really listening.
i know i have posted several images of both of these pieces...but somehow i really love the effect of stacking both paintings on top of each other. which i cant really do anymore since they are both framed now and hanging up at WET hair salon...
