St. Peter's Seminary is a disused Roman Catholic seminary near Cardross, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Designed by the firm of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia. It has been abandoned since the end of the 1980s, and is currently in a ruinous state. (Wikipedia)

As part of the Heritage Open Day Weekend, St Peter's Maney Church and Vicarage were open to the public.
The Church is a Grade 2 Listed Building, consecrated in 1905. The vicarage is slightly newer, dating back to 1912
St Peter's Church demonstrates the principal characteristics of a regional timber Gothic Revival church and retains its original furniture and fittings.
Windows to the side walls are narrow and rectangular. There are a number of stained glass memorial windows including five above the altar depicting the Ascension and scenes from the life of St Peter installed in 1918, a Resurrection from 1918 and that in the baptistery donated in 1913.

Vilnius is the capital city of Lithuania. At the time of our visit Lithuania held the presidency of the European Union, and a big conference was being held in the city. Add to that the fact that the annual Marathon was taking place on the Sunday getting around was interesting,
The Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994, and Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture in 2009.
St. Peter's Cathedral dates from the 12th century and is thought to stand on the site of a 6th century basilica. Much of the decorative interior was stripped during the protestant reformation.
By climbing to the North and South towers it is possible to get a 360 degree panoramic view of Geneva.
Most of these shots were taken in Rome, Italy with my Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8. The others were taken with the Nikkor 55-200 mm f/4.0-5.6.
"St Peter's church was rebuilt during the mid-19th century, but retains its medieval screen, made from Jerusalem olive trees and featuring elaborate carvings, and a font dating back to 1690. Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman described the church as 'a Tractarian work of art'. The damming of a stream in the 15th Century created the Church Pond."

The tower of St Peter's Church is 12th century. The remainder of the church dates from the 15th century. Prior to the Second World War the Church stood in a busy commercial district of Bristol. The church was reduced to ruin as a result of the Blitz in 1940. The buildings immediately around the Church were destroyed and cleared away to form Castle Park.
The Church is Grade II* and now stands as a War Memorial to those civilians killed during the Blitz.
The area in front of St. Peter's Basilica was redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini between 1656 and 1667. The colonnade comprises of 284 columns and 88 pillars in a quadruple row. That's a lot of columns!

St. Peter and Paul Cathedral
St Peter's church is a fairly simple building, a two-chamber church crowned by an attractive late medieval west tower. It stands immediately west of the more elaborate Stanway House, which somewhat eclipses it in grandeur.
