St Peter's Church is a Church of England parish church located in the centre of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. It is a Grade I listed building classed as a 'major parish church', and was completed in 1879 to a design by G.E. Street as the founding mother church of Bournemouth. The building incorporates work by some of the finest Gothic Revival architects and artists, including Street, George Frederick Bodley, Ninian Comper, Arthur Blomfield and Edward Burne-Jones, with stained glass and frescoes by Clayton and Bell. The chancel has been described as 'one of the richest Gothic Revival interiors in England
St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican was built in years 1506–1626, in place of the older early Christian basilica.
According to tradition, the basilica stands at the burial place of St. Piotr, his grave lies under the main altar at the intersection of naves. The temple is a necropolis of popes, including saints Pius X, John XXIII and John Paul II.
The basilica is a leading work of Renaissance and Baroque architecture, with a very rich interior design. Inside there are such great works as; bronze figure of St. Peter Arnolf di Cambio, Vatican Pieta will perform by Michel Angelo, the altar of Saint Peter with a canopy and many more.
The Vatican Basilica is the second largest church in the world.
Four massive pillars support the dome with a diameter of 42 meters decorated with mosaics of Cavalier d'Arpino. The highest point is the lighthouse on which stairs accessible to visiting tourists lead.

St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of London.
Gothic Revival style. The church was dedicated in June 1885, but the twin steeples were completed in 1957. The church received the status of a "minor basilica" in 1961.

St Peter’s is the oldest church in Shaftesbury where there were eleven churches in mediaeval times. It was built at the top of Gold Hill as a pilgrim church outside the walls of the Benedictine Abbey. John Schip is the first known incumbent (1305). However, there is evidence of an earlier building on this site, in the form of ancient foundations under the nave floor.
It is evident that the town experienced great poverty in the 14th and 15th centuries. The French war and then the Black Death of 1348-1357, which deprived the town of masons and depleted the population, were major disasters. In consequence, the completion of the church was prolonged and much of the building is of the decorated and perpendicular style.
Of the present structure, the lower part of the tower is the oldest; the nave and its arcades are of the 14th century, the Clerestory was added in the 15th/16th centuries. The panelled oak roofs of the nave St-Peters-planand the North Aisle are also of the same date. In early times the walls were brightly coloured but painted over in Oliver Cromwell’s time. When restoration took place the North Parapet could not be retained due to the poor state of the stone.

The ancient Church of St Peter in the Suffolk village of Bruisyard stands on gently rising ground overlooking the River Alde. Its antiquity is possibly confirmed by Saxon features evident in the tower's flint work. Although some believe it to be Norman, others believe the origin of the round tower has an even earlier date.
Round towers were built from late Saxon times until about 1400, and there are a total of 181 still standing, more or less! - in England, of which 38 are in Suffolk.
A church at Haresfield in Gloucestershire was first recorded in 1161 when Henry of Hereford, the lord of the manor, granted it to Llanthony Priory. Some parts of the fabric of the church mentioned in the 12th century survive in today’s Church of St Peter.

The construction of the new basilica began in 1506, when the old basilica had been torn down, and was finished in 1626. It was consecrated on 18 November, 1626. Several renowned architects designed the temple, highlighting the works of Bramante, Michelangelo and Carlo Maderno.
The basilica was called St Peter’s after one of Jesus’s twelve disciples known as Saint Peter, who became one of the founders of the Catholic Church and was executed in Rome and buried where the Basilica now stands.

The Anglican Church of St Peter and St Paul in Kilmersdon, Somerset, England, dates back to the Norman period, though much of the current structure was built during the 15th and 16th centuries and restored in the Victorian era. It is a Grade I listed building. The tower, which was built around 1443, is in four stages.
Dating from the 12th Century, it is unusual because it is thatched - there are only about 100 thatched churches in England, and it has a round flint tower which is a feature found mainly in East Anglia. The tower has an octagonal storey added in about 1300.
In the porch is a remnant of a Zeppelin which was brought down in 1917.

St Peter's is one of two medieval churches in Hereford (aside from the Cathedral) and acts as the city's official civic church. It is the largest and the oldest parish church in Herefordshire. It may have been established as a collegiate church around 1035. Another version of the church's history suggests that it was founded – or re-founded – by the Norman nobleman Walter de Lacy in 1080. De Lacy tragically died in a fall from the tower in 1085.
The completed church was given by Walter de Lacy's son Hugh to the monks of St Peter's Abbey in Gloucester (now Gloucester Cathedral).
The medieval church was heavily restored in 1888 under the direction of Thomas Nicholson, the diocesan architect. The restored church is built mainly of rubble and ashlar sandstone under a roof of Welsh slate.

Northamptonshire was once known as "the county of squires and spires" on account of the numerous country estates and the beautiful stone-built churches with spires. St Peter's at Walgrave is one of the latter. The village has a population of just over 800, and on a personal note has a very fine pub - the Royal Oak - where I was given a surprise family party on a very important certain birthday a few years ago.

Built in 1913, St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church is a historic church building in Echo, Oregon. It was built by the Portuguese immigrant community in Echo. In 1997 the church was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
