Hi, all, I've been a bit under the weather but felt well enough today to make a stencil out of the @simonsaysstamp Folk Dance die, apply Versamark through it and heat set it, then blend Distress Oxide inks on glossy cardstock to make this background. Then I die cut a sentiment using a die from @crafterscompanion, backed it up with dark chocolate cardstock and added a few sequins. I'm entering this card in Simon's Flickr and Wednesday challenges. Have a good evening!

When I first started to craft, it was with paper quilling. It was fun to go back to this technique. I used the blossom fields 3D embossing folder on the card and used a tiny but of white pigment ink to make the embossed areas stand out.

This is one of two cards that are , well, oddballs. I've had this stamp set of Shakespeare's quotes from #heroarts for a while now, and I like that "Moon, take thy flight" sentiment for a friend whose last name is Moon. I wanted the owl to fly across a full moon along a trail of stars. I used the moon die included in July #mymonthlyhero to cut the moon out of a #distressoxide background, which I inlaid into the panel. But the first version (all black) looked somber and perhaps "Halloweeny". So I made another, this time I blended a cloudy night sky and used a white card base. Still unsure about these cards, but I did learn something: I like the way Distress Oxides blend on Bristol cardstock. I'm also entering at least one of these cards into the "anything goes" #simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. #mymonthlyhero, #heroarts, #distressoxide, #handmadecards, #cardmaking, #ssswchallenge.

Another card using @heroarts #mymonthlyhero August 2017 kit. I used the window die on cardstock that I had sprayed with glitter spray and put a piece of patterned paper behind it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do about the sentiment when it occurred to me that it looked like a Christmas card. So I cut the words using @TimHoltz die set. Never have I ever done a Xmas card this early. Maybe I'll be ready for this season! Entering this card in the @simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge (anything goes)

If at first you don't succeed...make a pink background. I was trying out @jennifermcguire's technique for layering #distressoxide inks, my first color palette was too yellow and bright enough to light up a small city, plus I somehow misaligned the @concordand9th Flower Turnabout stamp, and everything ended up in the wrong place‍♀️. Trash that, deep breath, start over. I hardly ever do pink, but I like the final result paired with @simonsaysstamp Modern Rose Blooms. Birthday stamp also by Simon and border die by @crafterscompus. I'm entering this card in Simon's Wednesday and Flickr challenges.

I received this cute Xmas mouse as a freebie with my Black Friday Simon order, but didn't have time to color him during the holidays, so a bit of masking turned his Santa hat into a woolen hat and voilà, Winter/Valentine mouse. This is the first of two cards. Colored with Copics.

Playing with @simonsaysstamp October 2017 kit. Love the brushstroke stamp set, my favorite is the little "brushstroke" heart. All products from Simon except the gray ink (Hero Arts) and the Nuvo drops in Copper Penny. By the way, Simon inks Pale Blush Pink and Soft Navy work really well with this kit.
