I made this (and 2 others) for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge a few weeks ago. I just forgot to share them here. I used a Love die by Impression Obsession. For all the details, please visit my blog. www.happyinkdesigns.wordpress.com
I played with alcohol inks on plastic paper. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment and the airplane using a Tim Holtz Stamp. The world is from Concord and 9th. I mounted the piece on a cardbase that I stamped with a Time Holtz Stamp.
Has anyone ever told you that your hobby isn't "true" art? Perhaps you've thought that yourself? I've experienced both. Silence that little voice, I told myself, and this art journal page popped into my head. Not all art hangs in a museum. As I've discovered, a creative outlet liberates the soul. Keep doing what you do. And silence those voices (including your own) that doubt your art. I'll do my best to follow my own advice. @ranger_ink Distress paints and Distress Archival inks, all stamps by @iostamps, except "Crafters gonna craft" by @simonsaysstamp.

I used Ken Oliver’s Color Burst on the Hero Arts Mandela that was white heat embossed on watercolor paper. What vibrant colors. Thank you was cut using a Spellbinders Die.

For the weekly Wednesday Simon Says Stamp challenge, Cute Critters. I was going to give him grass and flowers to sit among, but I liked the simple graphic nature of this. The pig is Smart Piggy (minus the glasses and tie) from the late Impression Obsession. The sentiment was made on the computer.

The cube builder background was used to create a stacked harlequin background. Distress inks in twisted citron, peacock feathers were blended to create the background. Altenew’s super script celebrate was embossed on Black cardstock. You and me was stamped using a Paper Studio word Stamp set. Coordinating Nuevo drops add interest.
