Zion National Park is truly a remarkable place to visit, hike, take in nature, and photograph. One of the most recognizable places to shoot is from the Canyon Junction Bridge looking south over the Virgin River. The Watchman stands tall at the end of the frame. I didn't get the sunset shot I hoped for but I was able to squeak out some great cloud movement and a little sun peaking through.
We spent three days in this park hiking the Watchman, Narrows, and Angel's Landing. Three tremendous trails with big payoffs.

Distinctive stocky waterbird. Adult is dark gray overall with a white bill and forehead shield. Immature has a pale breast and a duller bill that becomes brighter white with age. When walking on shore, note big feet with lobed toes. Inhabits both freshwater and brackish marshes, lakeshores, and riverways; occasionally on saltwater. Breeding pairs aggressively territorial but nonbreeding flocks can number in hundreds. Unmistakable throughout much of range, but compare with very similar Red-knobbed Coot in areas of overlap. Calls are diverse, and include various high-pitched squeaks, squawks, and shorter, more clipped notes. (eBird)

I was not expecting to find out that the Eurasian Coot is a year-round resident of Australia. In fact, it has a huge range across Europe, Asia and Australasia. We saw them several times, but this was the only time one was close enough photograph.

The cyborg emulates high pitch squeaking sounds from her onboad translator. The rats run to the rear terminals energy source and begins chewing at the wires.
Within a few moments there is a flash and a small electrical fire ensues diverting the officers to the back of the precinct giving Flit plenty of time to break the lock, upload some data and make her way to the nearest exit.

SQL has about 7 or 8 rats (including the hedgehog which is an honorary rat). They squeak and he loves them and takes them on daily patrols around the house. They're years old - some have lost their eyes and some have had operations to mend tears but surprisingly they all still squeak - HSoS!

My black kitten has decided to return to her original colour after being almost white for a few weeks.
Bubble and squeak is a British dish made from cooked potatoes and cabbage, mixed together and fried.
Taken in Pawtucket, Rhode, Island, USA. The Miss Lorraine Diner is a fully restored 1941 Worcester Streamliner Diner (Worcester No. 774). It was moved in 2011 from Connecticut to its present location and underwent an 8 year restoration. It was Squeak's Diner in Connecticut.
I found this little guy last week, in my neighbors driveway, he had fallen out of his nest. The mommy and daddy bird werent able to help him, so I took him "under my wing" so to speak. Made a little nest for him, and did my best to take care of him. I called up a couple nature centers and an animal rehab center, to try to figure out what baby birds eat and such, and how to take care of them. They also told me, that a bird this young, who was on his own, the chances of survival are pretty low. Unfortunately, they were right. I found him this past Saturday afternoon, and he didnt make it. I guess the only comfort I had in all of this, was knowing I was able to give this little birdy an extra few days of life, and a fighting chance. R.I.P. little buddy! :o(

Two baby wrens one day post fledging. They were sitting on a wee branch just soaking up the evening sun yesterday evening. Various brothers and sisters elsewhere in the hedge were squeaking and making the hedge vibrate. I heard them about 50 yards further up the hedge the day before, and tonight they have moved on somewhere else.
Joey (the farm owner's dog) is sitting in the farmyard, with the alpaca barn to the left and the goat barn on the right. I just squeezed a squeak toy that I keep in my camera bag.
I needed to get Sammie's attention, so I squeezed a dog toy squeaker next to the camera. Dogs don't know what to think of that. He loves to visit the farm and check out the various animals.
I keep a squeak toy in my camera bag and sometimes use it to draw a reaction from the animals. Bambi perks up an ear or two when she hears it.
2020 has been my best ever year for foxes and this is one of my favourite photos of the year.
I had photographed this huge dog fox at a distance but this was the only time I had him come this close. He was feeding well grown cubs so was forced to hunt during the day.
I watched him for several minutes as he slowly made his way towards me with just the tips of his ears showing above the long grass. When he was in the perfect position I gave a tiny squeak between my teeth and he stopped an lifted his head a few inches.
I toggled the single focus point onto his eye through the gap in the grass and took a single shot, then he slowly disappeared into the hedge and that was the last I saw of him.
Not a day for drying - while not quite officially winter it was just hours away from the first snow fall for the year.
It had already squeaked out a few tiny snow flakes, and I'd spent the afternoon excitedly bouncing around outside willing it to snow properly, and taking photos of everything. And freezing!
"Please hold" is for (1) the visually obvious - the pegs, and purpose of the clothes line, and (2) nature making me wait for the real snowfall ;-)

Least Sandpiper
I met with my neighbor to photograph her Shi-Tzu, Ophelia, (or Ophie) at Wright-Locke Farm. Ophie is still young, but she's growing into a fine lady. I squeezed a squeak toy to get her attention for this shot.
I see a lot more Weasels than Stoats where I live in the Pennines. And Stoats rarely seem to present me with photo-opportunities. But on Good Friday I was out for a woodland walk, and a Stoat appeared on the path in front of me. It didn't look that much bigger than a Weasel so I'm guessing this is a female as they are significantly smaller than males. You can see the distinctive black tail tip which differentiates it from Weasel. She was running away from me so I made a squeaking noise, and she stopped immediately and turned round, providing me with my photo-opportunity. I thought the woodland spring flowers made a pleasant background too.
Nitro is really popular with the ladies!
Squeaker is a fixed female former feral kitty. She is basically a wild animal, some feral cats socialize well and some hang on to their instincts over all else. After over a year now, I am the only one who can pet her and only when feeding or she is sleeping. She is great with cats though, just not people.

Little Sugar Squeak is a tiny LOL doll and is my Granddaughter's toy. She left it here last time she came to visit. She is sitting on a US Quarter.
I had to take our cat in today to have her put down.
Her journey with us started 13 years ago when we captured her along with her 2 brothers and mom. We had them all spade and neutered. When the kittens were weaned, mama kind of disappeared, the 3 kittens stayed.
Squeak was the runt of the litter, but outlived her brothers.
