Long YUL winter. Not many occasions for testing a bokeh with cheep Rikenon XR 50mm f2 L.

Not a bokeh monster by any measurement, but sufficiently pleasant.

Stu planted some Salad Turnip Seeds a few days ago and they are now coming up. I like these little turnips, they are very tasty. It is incredible how a tiny seed can eventually turn into part of a tasty meal!

Thank you all for your comments/favs (Explore #350 May 26, 2013).

I don't know the species of either the sprout or the 'host' tree. Nature will find a way to keep growing. This tree spans Galloway Creek in the Springfield Nature Center.

At last, I have finished seven sprout series.

I love their rich and bright colors.

It was fun to make :)

Scarlett trivia: her ear fringe is banded to keep it dry and out of her food and water bowl. This week she's 28 weeks old, 22-1/4" tall

Since it's still cold and snowy outside, I had to search for some Spring color indoors... I think I found it with these little sprouts on the windowsill.
