The Brussels sprout is a member of the Gemmifera cultivar group of cabbages (Brassica oleracea), grown for its edible buds. The leaf vegetables are typically 1.5–4.0 cm (0.6–1.6 in) in diameter and resemble miniature cabbages. The Brussels sprout has long been popular in Brussels, Belgium, from which it gained its name.
This little dog really is called Sprout. I still can't believe this is an 'un-doctored' image even though I took it myself!
Such a waste when you find them shrivelled up at the back of a cupboard...

Having little fun letting this Potato sprout,
No need to toss the spuds. If you simply cut away those colored areas and any sprouts, your potatoes will be quite safe to eat.
Quercus robur growing on the felling within the Kuneevsky forest area in Togliatti. Considering its crown shape we can guess that its development has started under the conditions of a disperse canopy
Exploring in my garden after an early morning shower, I was shocked when I came across my bleeding heart sprouts. The tip of every point on almost every leaf had a beautiful droplet...it looked like bubbles landed and froze in place.

I'm not sure why I'm compelled to try this every year. They usually die before being planted, or eventually get eaten by some critter once in the ground. Every once in a while a few make it, like last year. I got a few hot pepper plants, and some basil survived to be mixed in with the greenhouse-started plants I bought later in the season. For now, its fun to watch them start, and I always hold out hope that they'll make it!
Working on my sprout series.
They're a pair of two(My carrot and daisy).
Until now I made 3 pairs and all they are reserved to good owners ;)
Merry christmas and Happy new year~ :)
